Wolves 0-4 Burnley: Verdict Thread

There were a lot of players for us not used to having nothing to play for, and it showed.

Only watched the first half, but pretty much as bad as gets. We've put in plenty of performances like that and got away with it, today we didn't. The pragmatic selections are a waste, a complete waste.

Nuno's not been able to get a tune out of his players for over a year, save for the odd 45 minutes hear and there, and is seriously underperforming relative to the resource he has available. He's lucky fans aren't in imo

Investment is needed but doubt it’ll be forthcoming unfortunately, unless players are moved on which will probably suit everyone best.
Really concerned about next season now we’ve looked a rabble on to many occasions now regardless of the Raul injury we looked well below par before that at times.

Can the Wolves Forum join the rest of football in a social media blackout next Monday? Please??

That's genuinely the main thing you take out of today? That's your high-minded contribution?

How pathetic.

Having seen your "high-minded" contribution to the Match Day Thread I'm not sure you have any room to talk, mate

I make no claims to be high-minded, I talk my mind about the match as I see it and anyone is free to agree or disagree.

I'm happy for people to say what they really think about the match in that live moment.

The alternative of lurking silently only to later pass judgement on posters while making little or no comment on the game is hardly the moral highground some of you think

Even Nuno knows the score..
"So many things went wrong. Many, many things.

"There are not many explanations for such a bad performance. We defend bad, very bad. We allowed Burnley to get into the game, we were not practical, we lost second balls and we were always under pressure and never comfortable.

"We lost our focus and things got worse and worse. We were very bad and we didn't do what we wanted to do - not even one time in our offensive game."

We were 5th when we got injured weren’t we?

You are happy for anyone to agree with you but get shitty with them when they don't.

I wasn't aware that this was the match thread. I've been lurking on the wrong page obviously.

What would you like me to say?

That was awful, we didn't turn up.
We need to improve the starting XI in summer.
It's probably time the young players were given a chance as they couldn't do any worse.
I never want to see Jose in a Wolves shirt again.
Saiss was worse than extremely poor.
Traore needs to be cashed in on if anyone will have him.

Ait Nouri played well... (always finish on a positive)

League was very congested at the time and we weren’t playing particular well.
It’s a convenient get out, had Raul been fit all season we’d probably not be much more higher than where we’re now.

Alt Nouri playing well backs up your point about the youth, I appreciate he has to play, and wouldn't go as far as to say they played well but at least Gibbs-White and V were energetic and looking to get on the ball.

Went to the pub at halftime. Think I made the right decision.

To be super critical, I'm not sure he gets any credit for saying the bleeding obvious that anyone with a reasonable interest in football could have said.

If he knows what we should be doing but aren't doing it then there is a problem somewhere. Whether it's him or the players the result is the same.

You're not disagreeing or agreeing with me cos you're not talking about football, you're just making superior digs at people moaning at a 0-4 home reverse. And you're about the fifth person to do so today.

If people dislike the matchday thread so much (vital document that it is), surely the best options are to either contribute to making it how you think it should be, or just don't go on it!?

I'm putting it down to end of season blues and the culmination of playing football for what seems like 5 years without a break.

But I have a nagging feeling that Nuno may have had enough and needs something new. He cuts a frustrated figure more often than not and the players look like they're not that interested anymore.

I'm another who thinks the matchday thread is a disgrace. People being told to go fuck themselves is not a good thing.

No I didn't.
I made a flippant "can we join the social media blackout" comment because, if we put in a display like that next week, this place will be toxic and probably rightfully so.
You decided to take it the way you did for your own reasons, to protect "your clique" or just because you're shit at humour
