Wolves 1-0 Leeds: Verdict Thread

I hope our medical team can work out what Marcal's legs are made from!

I might be an outlier but I thought Donck was not that good. Did some good things but equally had more than 1 instance where he sent us backwards instead of passing progressively, lost his man at least once for their set piece chances, and almost allowed Costa (of all people) in to score.

He's also got to - GOT TO - take a yellow and pull his man back to stop the counter Bamford nearly scored from. It's really, really basic stuff and it was a few cm away from costing us.
He wasn’t good defensively (but then, he’s not a defender), but he had better moments of stepping forward, and passed forward quite well at times too. I thought it was his best game for a while tbh.

10 points from 4 games, this looked impossible a few weeks ago, yes i was getting the relegation jitters,(hence that stupid relegation post i put up) but not now. I feel good.:):):):D

Just to add the commentary from Darke and Lucy Ward was horrible and bias to new levels that it was cringeworthy
The only thing that really annoyed me was Lucy Ward was talking about the U23 players and saying the difference between Leeds and Wolves is Leeds include their U23's in 1st team training so they know how they play etc etc. I mean, thats exactly what we do so if you don't know what we do, don't fooking comment

Phew that was close, thought we played well for large parts of that but last 20 minutes was nail biting. I was just texting my lad that Traore was having a mare then he has a lovely run and a terrific strike. Bit of luck but he deserved it.
Wish we could score 2 or 3 when we're on top but I'll take a 1-0 all day.
Leeds will feel unlucky but tough titty, we've had our share of misfortune this season.
Think everyone played their part, Neto again the stand out, wish he'd put that one across to Jose though. Pity Semedo didn't tuck his big chance away, played well.
Rui had been very good last couple of games, in fact he's been fine for quite a while now.
Hopefully this run will give us confidence and we can continue for a few more yet.

Lucy Ward just never stopped talking. It was incessant, she said more than the actual commentator. She should learn that often less is more.

Well she did play for Leeds, then work for Leeds and go out with a Leeds manager so probably not a surprise.
I thought she'd done more research on wolves than almost every other co-commentator tbh. She referenced Nuno's relationship with the psychologist (even a lot on here thought he was a coach or a tactics guru ffs), Nuno not having seen his family, a few nuggets from pedro's recent interview. Yeah, she's clearly a Leeds lass, but she'd clearly done her homework on the general tidbits and our tactical challenges.

Rather that that Don Goodman and whoever was commentating suggesting that Traore was having his arm greased up to keep him warm, despite every greasing being televised for the previous few weeks ffs

Well it's not though? It's shows that they had several really good chances to score, which they did - and that we didn't actually create too much in terms of clear cut shooting opportunities, barring Nelson's 2 and some pot shots
Not really, people treat it like it's some sort of moral victory. We deserved to win, look at the XG. Without wishing to sound all Mike Bassett it's only really relevant if you score

Even still you’re employed to give a fair honest reflection and have good knowledge of both sides you’re covering not just be a cheer leader
Not condoning it, but as Keown, Carragher, Smith, Jenas, Hoddle and McManaman never manage it I'm not surprised she didn't.

Didn't think she did that bad a job otherwise.

It wasn’t exactly the Richie Benaud approach was it.

Marçal is a real disappointment, always looks good but seems to break every 5 mins.

18 month contract? Hope there’s a ‘break’ clause.

was gonna say the same thing. I didn't hear anything today that particularly jumped out at me as overly bias/annoying but admittedly I was multi-tasking. I definitely remember her from another recent game and thought she had some good insight into wolves versus most other presenters who just go on about generalized nonsense or outdated talking points (neves the long-range GOD!).
