Took 10/15 to settle the game down but we fucking bossed it. They couldn't have complained at 3-0 at HT. MOTM? Neves, Raul, Podence, Nelson, Kilman, too many to choose from, nobody had a bad game.

We were always going to come under pressure last 20 as they pushed for an equaliser, RAN was the epitome of knackered after the work he'd put in. Raul's first time hit for the winner was just pure nonchalance, he knew exactly where that was going and was a classy end to a classy move.

Fucking loved that.

I thought RAN was fine. Defended pretty well, put some decent crosses in, certainly the better of the 2 set piece takers. I liked the trickery on the free kick that Kilman should have scored from.

He was the "weak spot" insofar as he was just okay rather than great. He was really, really poor in an attacking sense but equally defended Bowen very effectively. 5/10. Simples, IMO.

Everybody else was a 7, 8, or 9, so RAN has nothing to be ashamed of from being the worst of the XI today when the standard was so high.

I loved Semedos movement inside to give Podence space, Raul knew exactly where to pass it before Semedo had even passed it to him.

To be honest I didn't read the rest of the post, clicked on the wrong thread and just saw that. RAN definitely wasn't a 5/10, one shit lobbed pass towards the end because he was fucked but other than that really didn't do anything wrong.

5 is harsh but RAN was fairly average individually today. However, his characteristics and ability give us so much more with him in the team in that position as opposed to Marcal

Saiss didn't connect with a beautiful corner in the first when he should score and likewise Kilman in the second.

Another day he walks away with three assists.

I thought he was much better than average. His defensive work individually and as part of the five was excellent, worked his bollocks off, always showed for the ball even when he was visibly fucked, put some good tackles in and would have had an assist if Saiss didn't have a 50p head. He's a kid and he played really well against a team who haven't exactly found it hard to score lately.
