Fire away.
Be civil please. No need for name calling regardless of whether or not you agree with their opinion.

When we attacked we looked OK but obviously didn’t really have enough of the ball to do it so often.

Played a shape that we did well in for 20 minutes against Chelsea in chasing the game and expected it to not have consequences against the best (or second best) team in the world. Poor

Chiquinho is exciting and lots to work with, just ridiculous the position he was used in. Now watch him drop him for the Norwich game.

Chiquinho was good. We tried to play football against them and they were just so much better at it that it was not very wise! Midfield was desperately poor, as was the defence. Coady was an absolute bomb scare.

Special mention to Jonny who looks as though he wants to be anywhere rather than at Wolves. He's given 2 absolute dogshit performances recently that if it were anyone else he'd be getting all sorts of pelters for it.

Not a game we were ever going to win given our available personnel.

Some very poor performances out there though, very rare that Donk out performs both Neves and Moutinho, but he did tonight.

Raul ran down too many blind alleys (goal excepted)

Chiquinho was excellent, great attitude, never gave up and for me should have got a penalty.

Coady, Jonny and Boly were pulled all over the place, by in fairness a truly amazing side. First 2 goals were fucking awful defensively,

Not a lot more to say is there, no matter how highly/lowly you rate Lage it can't be good for him not being with the players for last few days.

As expected Chelsea was more of an outlier than anything.

We look a disorganised rabble at the moment and have done for a while. We've thrown away Europe, the players are pissed off or not bothered, the fans don't have the belief they/we used to, and the club's going backwards in multiple ways.

Good times.

City are excellent but its getting to the point I'm not sure I can be bothered with football outside of Wolves. No doubt they'll spunk another £70m on another left back and not play them half the season - how is it meant to hold anyone's interest?

All over the place at times at the back but thought we created a few decent chances and opportunities. Problem is our players are right at the limit of their ability to even match City.
Don't think anyone stopped trying, just all out on their feet last 15 minutes.
I just don't know how it wasn't a penalty on Neto, in fact imo should have been one on Chiquinho too, soft but mostly given, Zinchenko had his arms wrapped round him when he went down!

100% agree with this. The real top-notch talent in the league is concentrated amongst so few teams in a way that would be unthinkable in other sports.

Shockingly poor defensively. Boly and Coady are done under Lage. Jonny asked to do a job he can't and Chiquinho played out of position all reminded me of a Hoddle/ Saunders hybrid of shitness.

The players looked frustrated most of the night like they were a Sunday league team who hadn't played together before.

City are a brilliant side and giving them that much space without having a plan defensively is always going to end horribly.

Hwang, Lage, Shi, Sellars aren't fit to be at our club.

17th in the form table over the last 10 games and could get worse.

If there is any money to spend - please don’t let Bruno, Jeff or Scott have any say in who to spend it on.

Against the one of best footballing sides to grace the English game you need to be as organised as possible without the ball. Our experimental back line was pulled from pillar to post and despite giving a reasonable account of ourselves going forward we were exposed out of possession.

It seems that Lage tries to get players into the team without it necessarily being the best option.

I.e. he wanted to play chiq but also didn't want to drop anyone so shifted Jonny.

He quite literally hasn’t got the faintest clue if his initial gameplan fails.

For as good as city are, we were a defensive shambles. Really poor.

Chiq a positive though. Didn’t look overawed, felt he did fairly well. Kept running. Quite exciting to watch.

Didn’t help when we got the ball we didn’t keep hold of it. Yes it’s difficult against a team like city but we do have some technically decent footballers.

Felt Neto was poor (assist aside) and very wasteful with the ball. Looks extremely frustrated. Maybe not fully fit, hopefully see the old Neto after a full pre season.

Raul battled fairly well, but even when he’s running at players he doesn’t look like this old Raul - which is a shame.

Glad city will win the league, mind (hopefully)

There’s been a lot of that lately. Donck being shifted into the weird right forward(ish) position being the worst example.

And just think they have Haarland next season! They are just galaxies away from everyone except Liverpool in this league. Whoever is our manager next season better get some new players. I thought Chiquinho looked good. Neto did until he got tired. Raul had one of his better games, as did donk. Neves and Moutiho were mia, along with the defence. Hwang isn't even Sunday league, whoever sanctioned that signing needs wailing with a shoe. Trincao, did he come on?

Feel Raul needed to move the ball much more quickly. He’s taking an extra touch or two, or three this season and it blunts what little attack we have

When managers do that, I always feel they are at "the clutching at straws" stage,

Perfect example Mick for the Albion game which ended 5-1 as well and ended him.

For all I love Neves and Moutinho, I've said for 2 seasons now that we lack someone with pace, power and dynamism in midfield. When teams have good movement and pace in midfield areas we have been lacking an answer to that for some time. Not a knock on Neves and Moutinho, who have other qualities, but we need some athleticism in the centre of the pitch.

Men against boys, that in mind, boys need supervision. I`m no tactician but it was obvious come half time that Jonny was not suited to the job he was given. Boly kept drifting to the right side leaving gaps on the left to exploit. Come half time Jonny should have been returned to right back with Boly moving to the right position and Toti coming on for Dendonker with a front three of Chiquinho Raul and Neto up front and Mout and Neves resuming normal service in midfield. Subs contributed nothing. Poor tactics, which will be forgiven by the powers that be because we were playing against a top class team. Chiquinho is like Traore but with a football brain, he excites me.
