Have at it.

Bad result really. Not having seen it I wonder how much the five changes affected the team and performance, it'll be good to hear from those who went.

From listening a lot of our moves seemed to end with Edwards, and Evans quite often too.

We don't seem to create many clear cut chances at all. At some point, KJ has to get us out of our comfort zone and take some risks. Our goals difference is -3, that is appalling.

Two wins on the trot next and everyone forgets this but definitely a disappointing defeat. Hard to see us scoring the goals to give us those wins though.

Also waiting for those that went but if you make 5 changes (4 of them unforced) to a team unbeaten in 8 you're just asking for the type of start we had.

Poor particularly second half. Sako the outstanding player first half hid away second half. Edwards was more puff than huff. 4/10 for the team.

Just from reading the reports and seeing the team and the subs i just don't get what Jackett is doing right now. I said during our bad run that i wasn't sure about him and the more the weeks go by i'm becoming less sure. He still doesn't know our best team and his subs all season have been questionable, going 4-4-2 today with Edwards and McDonald as the 2 at 1-1 just isn't a way to go.

Agreed, especially when you're splitting up a defence that's played so well recently. I think I read Golbourne had a recurrence of his foot injury so maybe that one was enforced (given that he hasn't featured much at all lately anyway) but I could be wrong.

That's a great point about Jackett's comfort zone. Sadly I suspect his comfort zone is not getting promoted from the Championship

I don't think Golbourne was unforced, he had a recurrence of his foot injury, plus as you said yourself after the Bolton game Dicko still doesn't look 100% fit.

Whatever team we play we need to be more progressive and we need someone who will commit players through the middle. Edwards doesn't offer that, we all know that

That is the challenge for him I think. He has proved himself as someone who can stabilise a club in this division, even threaten to make the play offs but we don't look like a team who is going to hammer or dominate anyone. I hope he can do it because I think he's a good manager and he's done a good job so far.

To be fair after the past three performances this result was coming, we are lacking quality in the centre of midfield and lacking real creativity.
The last three result and performances show we are way short of the top six.

He's struggling tactically though right now, he can't get us to look as threatening as we should with the players we have. For me the problem is the centre of midfield whether it's the 2 in front of the back four or the 1 behind the striker. The 2 in front of the back four don't offer enough especially going forward and Edwards playing in the hole restricts a lot of our play. I'm seriously doubting whether Jackett has what it takes.

Another crap home result against a bottom half team . Huddersfield, Reading and Forest all leave with the points and we look like chumps. Happens too often to be coincidence. Mental blocks. 1 point from a Reading side having a piss poor season is not good enough. Blah blah blah blah said it all before

I doubt it, too.

I just wonder whether a player capable of receiving the ball centrally would encourage the likes of Price/Evans/McDonald to play through the middle more often. Jacobs was ideal last season, and gave others around him the confidence to play in tighter areas, creating space and committing opposition players. Clearly Jacobs isn't favoured, so we need a similar player (Grealish?) or a centre midfielder who can carry the ball through the middle if not (Chalobah would have been ideal).

They've scored 35 goals this season (1 more than us) and 5 of them have come against Wolves. Not good enough really.

oh and only three attempts on target is still a problem and always will be. You need to have a lot of luck to win any game if you only get three attempts on target in a match. Sick of saying it

This is why people were saying we needed to go in again in the transfer window, we have a chance of getting in the play-offs and we are slowly throwing it away. We need to find someone who can play in the hole that we can give the ball to who will create something and be that number 10, Edwards will never be that player. Obviously you have to identify that player and make sure everything is right but it just hasn't happened. Now that's either because our recruitment isn't good enough or as Johnny has said many times Jackett doesn't want to play that way. Whichever one it is something needs to change.

Reading had the second worst goals against on the road in the division and we still lost. Frustratingly predictable
