Wolves 2-1 Brighton: Verdict Thread

First half forget it. Second half WOW. Silva, good contribution. Traore, what an impact and goal. Gibbs White, yes i shot him down earlier, and that miss, oh dear. BUT, he kept his head up and got a great winner, and rammed it down my throat. Apologies Morgan, you proved me so wrong, and in glad about it.

To be fair it wasn't as ironic as this classic

"He's a Harry Winks clone, neat and tidy but nothing that's ever going to threaten anyone, slow, weak and impotent."

He was one of our best players out there today because he's fighting for his place. You could tell he had woken up after he put the crunching tackle in vs WBA. He wants to be here.

We all know the negatives, but concentrating on the positives:

Good to come back from being a goal down and going onto win, especially with quite a few fringe players on the pitch

Great to see MGW score, whether he makes it here or not he deserves that, especially after his miss. He'll remember that forever, and rightly so. Well done lad.

More good, dynamic play from RAN, I really enjoy watching Vitinha too.

Good positive contribution too from Adama, that's what we need from him
100% agree with you.

Going to pretend the first half abomination never existed, it was awful. 2nd half was chalk and cheese. Sending off clearly the catalyst for a much better attacking performance, though who knows we might have done the same against 11 anyway?

RAN was excellent as was Fabio. MGW put in a good 2nd half and deserved the goal and Adama showed what he can do when he's on it. I think all the youngsters have given Nuno food for thought as they have all shown some upside and clear potential. We need to sort out the defence for next season and I do wonder if Neves might be the one we cash in on. As good as he has been, he's not irreplaceable IMO.

MGW will be happy that he had another chance after missing the open goal - took it well though he had no time to think about it. Not sure that he's a long term answer.

Against 10 men Traore will always be devastating.

Happy to see some of the youngsters given a go seeing as how it doesn't really matter that much now - none of them did badly though not convinced on Hoever yet. Silva I am warming to - starting to become a presence (Jose can just go away now)

Neves not really on form - needs to go back to Portugal & spend some time with his family to recharge.

We do need another CB or a more competent way of defending set pieces - too easy for Dunk.

So next season could we likely see our MID/ATT looking like:

Raul

Podence - Silva - Neto

Neves - Vitinha

With Silva joining Raul up top when we look to get the ball into the box.

Swap Podence for Adama. Podence can go, he's not very good.

Really pleased for the youngsters.

RUI, had a good game one excellent save
Hoever solid but his final ball was rubbish
Kilman and coady did quite well, would prefer a big solid Tarkowski like player in there with one of them.
RAN not as good as the other game.
Neves was Poor
Mouthino did well
Podence awful game
Vithana i really like this player finds space, always has tine on the ball, thojght he did well.
MGW movement is excellent wants the ball wants everything to go through him. Think he sometimes takes a bit too.much time and gets crowded out, certainly needs more time in the team.
Silva what a player we have that break out the team has done him the world of good. His movement for the red card, his Pass for Traores goal were simply sublime.
Traore - changed the game
WJ awful
Dendonker no time.

In certain games playing them both will be fantastic, Fabio playing off Rauls strength and cleverness will be great to watch.

Where is Traore?

The quality of Silva & Traore won us that game today. Really pleased for MGW & lets hope he gets more confident. RAN keeps getting better.

RAN, Traore and Silva top picks for me, RAN is maturing game by game.
Silva clearly has the footballing brain to play at this level and that touch and awareness for the equaliser was as good as any goal scored.
