We should also buy out the 50% sell on clause for RAN pretty sharpish

First half sublime, second was a nail biter but we never looked in trouble except for that ridiculous idiot passing it around in our own box ffs!
Ran was excellent so too trincao, and major plaudits for oilman, except when he brings the ball out and is closed down, he always turns inside onto his left food and always loses it. Semedo had a steady game as did they all although I thought her chan was a bit sloppy at times, especiallyvwhen coming back to help out.
Must admit I would have given adama at least the last twenty minutes he would have terrorised that Everton defence.

Really happy with the win, very pleasurable first half, painful second but we still had opportunities to kill the game. If Trincao could just improve his finishing we'll be an incredibly dangerous team. RAN looks like a future world class player, absolute quality but will of course be inconsistent due to his age. Our midfield looks so much better with Neves in it.

Controlling first half, battling second half. Game should have been put beyond doubt first half. Waiting for that first second half substitution is becoming increasingly frustrating. An excellent TEAM effort We are 7th in the league, what do I know?

Can only assume Traore not coming on or being used has some kind of message behind it.

He may have been woeful if he came on, but Podence just isn’t the guy in that situation for me. Chasing a game - yes, holding onto a lead - no.

Palace (A)
West Ham (H)
Norwich (A)
Burnley (H)

December picks up significantly, obviously. Possibly 9 unbeaten by that point though, best case scenario.

For whatever RAN lacks defensively (and he has room to improve - he is better than he was when he arrived though) compared to Marcal, the improvement to our attack far outweighs it. Rough with the smooth, if you will. He's the actual wonderkid we have right now.

I would feel a lot, lot better about Sa if he would cut out the brainfarts - in contrast this is not rough with the smooth, it's stupid stuff that shouldn't be happening.

We've gone from a keeper who gave us scares/problems because he was bad at kicking to one who gives us scares because he knows he's good and gets overconfident (!) Knock that off please, good save from the corner otherwise (and generally there's nothing wrong with his keeping the vast majority of the time - good shot stopper, claims when he should, good early distribution)

It does feel this should be the front 3 at the moment. How refreshing is it to see us playing through the lines and actually playing progressive passes? Side to side is still a thing, obviously, but when we get the other team out of position a bit (and sometimes even when we don't) the front 3 make use of the space and are willing & able to receive the ball and do something with it, something we've been sorely missing.

It feels like the confidence is growing, not just amongst those 3 but the team in general. Trincao's is still a bit fragile as he has a tendancy to let his head drop but once he bags one that should help with that. Good effort to press leading to the 2nd, he does muck in when needed. Probably not his natural game but he's trying.

In contrast Hwang works a hell of a lot, doesn't have the same level of flair (or first touch) but across the 3 feels like there is a good blend. In particular the Hwang pullback to Trincao cutting into the middle feels like it should definitely start paying off soon.

I'm not sure I agree with this, think he bought Podence on because he does press, Traore virtually never does. I would still have bought Traore on though, both Trincao and Hwang were buggered, no idea why Bruno leaves it so late....then again we are unbeaten in 5 with 4 wins, maybe Lage knows what he's doing?

Palace and West Ham games will be tough. Palace have improved a lot recently and West Ham are a good side.

First half was a 2-0 battering. Pathetic approach from Benitez and they were lucky not to be 4 or 5 down. We got a bit sloppy in the second half at points but still created enough ourselves - no idea how Trincao missed! The ref also defo gave us a pen then changed his mind.

Everyone was at least 7/10 but Ait-Nouri, Neves and Raul were the pick of the bunch.

If Sa could stop dicking around with the ball, that would be lovely.

16 points from 10 games and 7th is a fair enough reflection of how we've performed - let's try to build on this.

Or Bruno just simply doesn't rate him? Played him until we had other options and then dropped him.

Adama can't keep the ball, that's why he didn't come on.

Podence was pretty rubbish instead but there's no agenda. There are just situations where Adama is useful and others where he isn't. He was also crap at Leeds, don't play like that if you want to keep the shirt.

Superb to a man in the first half, nervy second half especially after their goal but thankfully hung on with that magnificent save by Sa too. Vintage Raul tonight, best he's looked since pre-injury and good to see him score at Molineux again, Neves excellent too. Kilman gets better with every game.

The table is looking rather healthy after 10 games and this run we've put together since Brentford is very pleasing.

This team is threadbare yes, but we are working very hard and competing, hopefully we are in and around an area that will impress new players and we get some quality and strength to push on.

Enjoyed the movement from the front three. Total football esque - lots of fluidity and switching of positions. Trincao improving with each game. Hwang unlucky with that offside. Jimenez finish was sublime.

Just wish we had managed the second half a bit better. Can't really complain with the best form in the league though!

Neves was the best player on the pitch by sone distance tonight for me - and Moutinho wasn’t far behind - those two absolutely bosses it out there.

Neves was chasing everything and looks loads quicker than last season - seriously fitter.

We were great everywhere really - tired second half and so Hwang and Trincao should have possibly come off quicker. I don’t think Trincao is physically strong enough for more than 69 mins yet.

Big shout to that back three tonight too - all three of them were awesome.

Saiss and Coady get sone bad defensive press but both of them were fantastic tonight.

Our best performance (well the 1st half anyway) which got us a win since before COVID struck !

Although it was a bit nervy when Everton pulled one back they only had one real chance from the corner which Sa saved excellently. I just wish Sa would cut out being a dick with the ball at his feet. Otherwise as a shot stopper I feel he has been an upgrade on Rui (well certainly from last season's form).

Very pleased for Max Kilman . . . nice headed goal and overall a very competent defensive display - he can be genuinely classified as a PL class defender - not top 6 - but certainly worth his place. Whether he could progress to playing in a 4 (CBs x 2) we will see.

Trincao needs a goal - there's genuine talent there. When Neto returns (looks like in January) we've got some real threat in attack as Hwang is certainly a goal scorer that can compliment Raul.

Raul's goal was delightfully taken and he seems to be back to full confidence heading for goal now. Unlucky with hitting a post in the 2nd half, but the most satisfying thing was the power and intent he made with the header.

Also very pleased to see RAN showing what he can do. I first saw him playing in France and he looked a talent when playing for a bang average team. Given his age he certainly has the whole world in front of him.

I have to admit that after Brentford I thought we'd be in serious trouble but since then with 4 wins a and a draw the team has managed to scramble some results but also have generally been the better team in all 5 games (well maybe not for the first 75 mins against Villa).

The defence certainly seems to be more on their game, much more than last year (we're not so vulnerable from free kicks and corners now) - I know we're still playing 3 CBs but I'm becoming more and more impressed with what Bruno has brought to the club.
