Wolves 2-1 Villa: Verdict Thread

Just seen on twitter a comment that there might only be three more games of Joao Moutinho at Wolves. That is massively depressing.
Presume at Molineux rather than at Wolves?

Professional performance from all involved, bit more composure in front of goal and we'd have been out of site first half, gladly not the mullering predicted by some and sympathies for the money TT lost on Betfred :)

ps. Have you ever noticed if it 'kicks off', Donks always front and centre ?
It was Bet365 and I'd pay £15+£5 free bet to beat Villa every single time

Bit of a weird game, we played some lovely stuff at times, created some good chances which we fucked up, sloppy at other times.
The penalty was right in front of us, when the collision occurred, just thought it was a bog standard late challenge/foul on the keeper, was absolutely gobsmacked with the decision. On the way home was wondering if it was my old gold tinted specs but having seen it again, wtf? Clearly a foul on Sa.
The ref was poor all through but second half completely lost control, the big melee near the end was all on the ref.
Anyway, enough whingeing, a great result, oh and have I ever mentioned, I fucking love Jonny.

I enjoyed that! England can join the refs who are wankers list . Second half he was awful. Got everything wrong. Not a penalty and again wtf are VAR doing . It’s a collision that can happen. Not a foul from either . Joke . Great to beat them . Silva was really good bar his finishing. Jonny putting the Semedo argument to bed in emphatic style . Marc’s was very good in the main and his cross was delightful. Ashley Young is still a cunt quell surprise. Good three points ,
Sa for POTS for me . He has been immense .

I'm sure someone on here told me that when refs make penalty calls they're meant to take into account whether the attacker has any chance of getting to the ball?

As I say twice a season, Villa is the game I want to win more than any other, so absolutely delighted.

Fabio's best game in a Wolves shirt by a country mile, his physicality was really impressive, but you can't watch that game and not make Moutinho MOTM he was sublime apart from that 20 mins in the first half when we just needlessly sat back.

Don't want to be too negative, but Podence and Trincao are an embarrassment with the diving. It's pathetic. Bruno should have a word

It’s quite strange if you look at our squad. In the majority of positions you would say we are quite well stocked

Wingbacks semedo Jonny RAN Marcal (if Marcal was actually used as a 4th choice option then I’d be fine with that)

Centreback kilman Coady boly Saiss toti (toti obviously young and still sort of unknown but didn’t disgrace himself when played)

CM Neves, Moutinho Donk Cundle (our arguably weakest area in numbers)

Wingers / attacking forwards hwang trincao Podence Neto Chiquinho (even though we have had some turnover in those areas, I’d say that needs improving

Striker Raul Fabio

The majority of that team is of a good age to. Some really positive foundations of Fosun go about there business in the correct way this summer. Lots of reasons to be positive IMO - could all change after summer transfer window though

If he's completely cleared out it doesn't matter (he wasn't)

You don't think Dendoncker and Moutinho played well?
Both played very well. You aren’t going to get a game where you have to CMs and should be 4-0 up if either of them were passengers - irrelevant of peoples opinion of donk
