Wolves 2-1 Villa: Verdict Thread

A word on Dendonker.

Let’s not forget the guy starts for Belgium in central midfield with the likes of Tielemans and DeBruyne. They rate him that highly.

Ok, he’s not Ruben Neves - but not many are.

What he doesn’t possess in natural flair and passing, he more than makes up for with determination, hard work and loyalty. Popular with his team mates too.

Some of you might be younger than me and haven’t had the pleasure of watching players like Darren Ferguson turn up, overweight, do fuck all and steal a living.

So let’s give the guy a bit of credit, cut him some slack and be grateful that he’s a big part of the best midfield we’ve seen in probably 40 years.
😒

Wolves are fast becoming the new Burnley. A horrible team full of really dirty players who get away with it due to weak refs. How they wasted 2mins in added time and nothing was added on tells you all you need to know.

A GENUINE COMMENT FROM B6 MASSIVE TALK.

Excuse me while I shit a new ring laughing at that load of utter and complete bollocks.

To be fair, this comment got no support, with the view being that Villa are soft not Wolves dirty.

Stevie G surprisingly deeply unpopular over there. Seeing “charlatan” a lot.

Has someone hung their Artic Wolf flag over the word 'BELL' on that sign ??

5th on MotD because "Wolves and Villa are comfortably midtable", according to Linekar.

Never a penalty. Not in a million years. And Mings is an even bigger cunt than I thought. Some going as I thought he was a massive cunt.
Watching it again on MOTD I actually can't believe that was given. Not a penalty in any right thinking person's view. That ref should never ref us again. One of a number of the useless, incompetent, corrupt crooks that the PL continue to put in charge of officiating. The PGMOL or whatever it is called is simply not fit for purpose. Get rid of the useless fucking lot of them.

Wasn't a bad performance overall.

Front three worked well even though the wide forwards made too many poor choices which ultimately lead to the game being far tighter at the end than it should've been.

Didn't miss Neves at all, midfield did their jobs fine for the most part.

Watkins got too much his way in the second half though, ghosted off the back of Coady far too easily for the two one on ones and the penalty, really exposed the lack of pace at the centre of Wolves' back three on those occasions. Strangely he mugged Jonny off twice too, the one down the channel not longer after Jonny had been booked which drew a really clumsy challenge that could've easily been a yellow card on another day and then another later on when Jonny got too tight and spun far too easily but thankfully Dendoncker covered across and bailed him out that time.
Sorry mate, but not the game I watched

You won’t find me disagreeing with a single word of that. I refuse to believe that these officials are that ridiculously inept, it would be beyond incompetence, today’s ‘performance’ was about as bent as a refereeing performance could look. And there have been some fucking nailed on bent performances from them this season.

The game finished a lot closer than it should have as we were quite clearly the better side and everyone played well with some players particularly standing out. Referee was as bad as we've had since we got promoted back to the Premier League and the penalty decision summed it up. I always feel a bit bat shit mental thinking referees are cheating us but they're doing a real good job of making me think it's a possibility.

Thought the midfield 2 were brilliant and cut off lots of space for Villa and were excellent on the ball in an area i think a lot thought we would struggle without Neves but both Donk and Joao stepped up. Amazing how good Joao has been again this season.

Sa is a super modern day keeper and makes saves that win points, wasn't at fault for the penalty either as it's a shocking decision.

Jonny is an outrageous footballer and Marcal had one of his good games with the ball which he has now and again and when he does he proves he can whip in a decent cross.

Will let Fabio to continue to do most of his talking but he was a constant threat today and his hold/link up play was the best we've seen this season. Hopefully that's the end of the barely league one standard/needs to go on loan/can only do it against tiring defenders nonsense as the lad clearly has lots of ability and needs to be playing at this level.

To those convinced refs are out to get us, my only question is why? There is not a conspiracy to stop us finishing 7th. Nobody really cares outside of us, it's not even West Ham's priority at the moment. I'm not questioning the 3 shockers we've had this season although it's probably only Leeds that actually cost us points, just what would be the motivation for a conspiracy? Personally I think that gives too much respect to what is just institutional incompetence
