Wolves 2-3 Leeds: Verdict Thread

Slowed it right down and the only possible contact is Struijk’s knee on his right foot. But it doesn’t alter his stride or make him kick himself so he’s made the most of it if there is any.

Only ever put 1 person on ignore in the past and I think he's gone, now it's 2

Still seething, less so about the red card for Jimi, more so about how it could all have been avoided. I said as soon as Jimi got his first yellow that Bruno should have subbed him off immediately. Unfortunately, as we saw against City, even a minute after a yellow is far too long for Raul to be on the pitch! Even after the red card, though, there were a load of options to re-group with a couple of changes in personnel. Switch to a back four, taking Saiss off for Cundle in midfield and Fabio, not Hwang, on for Podence. Let's be honest Saiss was having a mare, in fact has been dodgy for a few games now. Needs to be rested next couple of games. I hope Bruno learns from this. A win against Villa next match and all this shit will be forgotten.

Having just been able to watch the highlights those goals we conceded were, how to put it politely, as avoidable as I thought they were

They were all a shit show. The stream I watched had Leeds at 25 to 1 for the win at half time. Should have lumped on and paid off my mortgage

or bought a new car lol

I think the dumbest thing here is this fucking post..
You obviously didn't watch how that tosser of a ref was handling the match up to then. Obvious he was gonna send a Wolves player off and even more obvious that it was gonna be Jiminez. This is not hindsight. I called it at the time of the first yellow. Maybe I should have said most dumb fuckers could see it....

Let's hope not only the team learns, Bruno learns too. I'm giving him a pass till next season as he's still learning PL football.
Next season i think he has to get things like subs and when to change it up in games like we just had or fans will start to get a bit frustrated.
If we can get a couple of decent additions, and hang on to Neves and Moutinho, and play like we did first half in the majority of games we can have a good challenge for top 6 imo.

Not the best angle I'd like to see it from another. I think that the defender was booked and didn't complain.

Think we're starting to see a fault line with Bruno. It's the third or fourth time now he's ignored the medical teams call for a substitution. It's all very "he's got all summer to get over it!"

In addition to that, I dont blame Saiss for last night whatsoever, he was clearly out of it and there was a failure to protect him. It was our failure to protect him which contributed to the defeat and the failure to protect him was part of a wider body of work of Bruno's passivity/freezing after the sending off.

Doesn't matter whether it's Kilman on, or Dendoncker into defence and Boly shifted across it should have happened even if it was to our detriment. We shouldn't be taking the word of the player and should be taking decisive action or it makes the whole Raul documentary crocodile tears. With concussion subs available not using it was in my opinion unforgivable.

Did Bruno ignore medical advice or did he get the wrong medical advice?

Other than the twice he's been sent off, he's been booked 5 times this season, so you're clearly wrong with this idea that he can't handle a booking without being sent off.

Just imagine how ridiculous it would have been to sub him off after the booking!? Good lord!

His sending off at City was ridiculous, he was fully to blame.

Last night, no, and you are talking with the benefit of hindsight as an expert, which ironically makes you look daft.

Seen Raul getting stick for diving before our second. Just watched it again on motd, now I think it's difficult to see if there is slight contact but interestingly watching the defender after the event, he walks away from the ref looking sheepish and never complains at all about the foul or the yellow he gets, which suggests to me he clipped Raul and it was on purpose.

On MoTD, Dion Dublin says the Jiminez incident should have led to a throw-in. Not even a foul, just a throw-in.

I like Dion, but he's a terrible pundit, however he's spot on there

Yeah, that’s embarrassing. No time for that at all
Looks like he was touched marginally bit enough to unbalance him. He was also clearly clipped in the first half by the right hand corner flag and nothing was given, surprised that the Eagle eyed cunt who's tweet was referred to didn't highlight that.

Genuine question : can Wolves write to the Premier league, or ref's association, or whoever and ask that Friend never be put in charge of one of their games again, or at least for a long time? His incompetence must have consequences, no?

Yes. Other teams have done the same about officials. Of course, we aren’t Sky Six so we would probably get Friend for every remaining game of the season.

Who would you rather have though? Attwell? Dean? Moss? Coote? Marriner?

Friend in isolation isn't the problem.
