Wolves 3-0 Everton: Verdict Thread

Is it as good as on the video on Wolves Facebook the height difference when Denonker helps Podence up after he wins the penalty or when they're celebrating the penalty you just see the top of Podences head, he is tiny I could cuddle him like a puppy :)

just had a look on the toffees blogs and tthey are not happy with Pickford at all. Want him dropped and sold. Can't say as I blame them either.

I wouldn't even put him in ahead of Ruddy, he's shite.

We were good, but Everton were bad. Not just bad, but atrocious, an embarrassment to the Premier League. So many players just going through the motions.

Podence motm, he gave us something different - the creative spark that we were looking for. Really looking forward to him and Raul etc being on the same wavelength.

Neves had a great game, and I wonder to what extent that was because he changed his style in the absence of Moutinho. When Joao is there it is easy to just give him the ball and let him try to create something, but without him maybe Neves felt more pressure (or freedom) as the 'senior' midfielder. Just a thought.

Tbh, Ruben neves has been outstanding all this year, but I don’t think it’s that he’s overawed by Joao, more that the playmaking role isn’t Donk’s strength, so he took over whenever possible - normally Moutinho can do it too, so they share that responsibility.

That and Everton’s midfield gave him an absolute ton of time to pick his passes. Crazy really.

Read or heard somewhere a few months ago, someone describing Podence as a Hazard like player. Hopefully in time he will be that good. A great start anyway.
