Wolves 3-0 Sheff Utd: FA Cup 3rd Rd - Verdict Thread

Am I the only one that thought Adama had a decent game today..
Probably…because he didn’t. The difference in standard between Traore and Podence/Silva was like night and day. Going forward we were inventive today, Traore wasn’t. Silva and Podence looked to link up with each other. Traore didn’t. Podence scored, Silva provided an assist. Traore didn’t. He was, at best, average. He can go to Spurs, he should have had a field day against a makeshift United defence…but he didn’t.

Just back from the match. Great day out :) Thought with the individual warm up at half time that Sanderson would be coming on, then plans seemed to change. Anyone else think that was a little out of the ordinary? Probably been commented on and explained already. Great to see Semedo score and, despite his evident issues with other parts of his game (shoot man!), Trincao does seem to have a productive understanding with him when they play together.

Put anybody other than Adama in front of Nelson and the understanding immediately improves tbf.

Everyone, bar Adama, did what they had to do to ensure we got through a potentially tricky tie. Podence and Fabio were particularly excellent. Happy for Semedo, who I've been critical of, probably unfairly. Boy he buried that one today. Another home draw next round. Happy days.

The way the team plays is great for a cup run (hope I don't jinx it lol). We can sort of control the result, we rarely concede and lose and we are able to get at least a draw against pretty much any opposition. I think we may be in for a treat, but let's first deal with Norwich. Baby steps.
