Wolves Academy Thread

It's each club's individual stream. Would think you can pay for it off Doncaster if you really want to.

I've already spent a tenner on one cup tie that I don't care about this season just to watch Fabio Silva so I'll pass.
Thanks Dan, I will check

Guess I will have to change the VPN to UK

I think I will pass this time, 12 dollars for a half is a bit steep

Well that was an interesting half. Defensive mistake allowed Silva to score off the post. Created a good chance with Hoever and saved by the keeper. I've got Donny 6-4 ahead on shots and last possession I saw gave it 59/41 to Rovers. Some loose passing from the Wolves players in good positions.
Silva? If you know your horse racing a colt is often described as 'leggy' - he needs to grow into his frame. That's Silva exactly. There are some nice touches but he really needs two years of growing.
If you said to me "Wolves spent £35m on a player" and I didn't know I'd have said Cobeanu on that first half.
And another lunatic moment from Ruddy fortunately didn't cost a goal

U21s finishing the 1st half stronger. Marques looks assured at the back. Marcal adding some experience although most of Donny's threats have come down our LHS. Our midfield a bit scrappy at times and failng to keep the ball, but tbf as the half grew we started to take control. Corbeanu certainly likes to take players on.

Oldham 1 Bradford 1 at present. That should see us 2nd but if Bradford win or win on penalties after the draw their through.

So a 2-1 win and first of all my thanks to Del for pointing out the big price Wolves were with the bookies. Two goals for Silva, but an equal number of shots blazed high and wide. The winner came from a mistake by Cameron John. Second half was a scrappy affair, with very little quality on show. Silva took his goals well, but he is nowhere near a back up for Raul this season, nor would I class him as a ‘generational talent.’

But he’s just physically weak: I think we have to defer judgement until he’s filled out and got fit. Elsewhere Marques always impresses me, Hoever did OK although I’d rather have seen him at RCB with Matheson at RWB.

But a game that was at least as entertaining as Sunday, and ten quid well spent.

I've seen many a game where Pippo Inzaghi looked absolute pish and ended up scoring two. I won't complain if that's what we've bought, he did ok for himself.

I think this is the thing - don't expect him to play like Raul. This kid is a goalscorer by all accounts. I will try and find some clips for the game tonight as I'd like to see how he did for myself!

The goals themselves weren't difficult finishes: there were two shots that were miles wide. Sorry, I'm assuming you didn't see it - he lost a lot of physical challenges and you simply have to defer judgement until he is older and stronger. But scoring twice can't do him anything but good.

Decent strike for the first, and he’s turned a nothing ball into a chance for the winner and stuck away an excellent finish

No, I didn't see it. So I'm not disputing what you say but you can't be assessing a striker with "he scored two but was crap otherwise"!

Raul has had plenty of woeful games where he's ended up scoring and everyone forgets the rest. Norwich away last season for a kick off.
