Wolves / Covid-19

I will be going but the pricing is pretty poor at a time after a national pandemic where a lot of people have been furloughed. The money that the club will make from charging 4500 fans that is negligible in the grand scheme of things but to individual working class people it's a lot.

If I was in Tier 1 I wouldn't pay that and if you assume that's the new ticket price then ST's behind the goal are going to be £600+. That'd be me having a long hard think
£770 behind the goals and £855 on the sides if that was the pricing for next season.

That's a huge jump and I'm not sure I could justify it.

I hope Fosun don't make that mistake.

Its that long ago I can't remember how much I paid, but I really hope this jump is not going to stay.

I assumed 3 'free' games so £640. Which you'll then get a credit of about £100 off for last season

If it does jump to that then definitely a mistake, but if it doesn't it also underlines that they are making a cash grab on the United game with the pricing!

United would always be category A. However charging for category A to STHs who buy a job lot of matches regardless of category and who have let them sit on our money for a year is absolute disgrace. If this is a harbinger of a huge price hike it will go down like a fart in a lift.

I wonder how keen everyone would have been had they announced the pricing before asking who wanted to be in the ballot!

Pretty grotesque prices for a nothing game, no doubt a lot who were in cat 1 will say no thanks so those in cats2 & 3 May have a chance.
Bit of a PR own goal from the club.
Problem is all areas of the ground need opening for only 4,500 fans so means you’ll still need stewards on each entry.

Why not just deduct the game off the rebate due for the 4500 and send the tickets out for free?

Arsenal are charging a flat rate £35 for their home game. Never thought I would see the day when their match ticket was cheaper than ours.

From Spiers:

Here's what a few other clubs are charging by comparison
Burnley free entry
West Brom £23
Arsenal £25-£35
Palace £30
Man City £24-£48
Leicester £26-£48
Chelsea £40-£47
Spurs £60

I don't understand why anyone left the money with the club, why have it in their account rather than yours? We were clearly never going back for ages.

At worst you take it back off them and give it back when you renew.

Unfortunately, I think there will be a decent sized price increase for this coming seasons ST's. They know that if people choose not to renew there will be people on that waiting list ready to take the chance to get one.

That money for the 4 games of last season will probably just offset the increase.

Doesn’t take much for Wolves fans to get disinterested especially if we have a couple of uninspiring seasons.
Seems like a case of not caring who is pissed off as someone will always be ready to take their place.

There are over 10,000 people on the waiting list for season tickets, problem is a large percentage of those will have died, changed circumstances, or just not be able to afford what they are likely to charge since they were added.

Most people are going to renew anyway though, even with the increase, if a few thousand don't then they know they have that covered even if the waiting list is down to around 4-5k.

If the prices are increased I bet we will still sell out our ST allocation.

Yep that waiting list can reduce as rapidly as as it grew.
Doesn’t make any sense charging these prices at all.
