Wolves / Covid-19

Only 3 players of Benfica havent caught the virus yet. The safest team to play in Europe. Even all staff had it.

The club is so strong within the covid that the manager tested 9 times negative in 2 weeks and the doctors still say he is infected.

The government will consider granting one-off exemptions for Premier League players to travel for international matches next month even if the countries are on the “red list” of Covid hotspots.
Whitehall sources say that clubs will be able to put forward a case for players making trips, even to matches such as the Brazil v Argentina World Cup qualifier, if they can demonstrate the risks involved can be minimised. There will be no blanket exemptions, however, and decisions will be made case by case.

Would rather we just told our Portugese lads to stay in Wolverhampton tbh

Why are the club being asked to make the representations? Surely it’s in our best interests to accidentally forget to do so and keep the players here.

I guess if players really want to go and represent their Countries, the clubs have an option to ask for permission and if it's denied the players can't really moan about it

No need for the shit application idea as Premier League clubs have been told their players and staff will have to self-isolate for 10 days when they return from any overseas trip.

No club will want to release anyone now

Edit: Are some adds on to that news - Must isolate for 10 days but can be reduced to 5 with a negative test and they can leave isolation to for elite sport purposes.

So they have to isolate for 5 days, but can leave for “elite sport purposes” such as training and matches? Ergo - normal life ?

I think you have the bizarre and muddled situation that Tuchel had when he first arrived - he could go to Cobham and Stamford Bridge, no problem, but he couldn't go to the Tesco at the end of his road.

Yeah, easy to understand rules for everyone...

"Breaking: Up to 10,000 fans will be allowed back into English stadiums in step 3 of the easing of England's coronavirus restrictions which is planned for May 17 at the earliest. That's in time for the final day of the Premier League season on May 23."

United at home.

I dunno, I've seen our games against them before, they're not great :D

No way of knowing whether you will get in that given that there's normally 3 times as many - & Utd again I can do without even though the last time I was there is March 7th 2020

They should definitely prioritise who gets into that 10,000 based on the hardcore who didn't ask for a Europa league ticket refund ;)

I didn't have the EL money back, I did get the remainder of 2019/20 refunded though.

:( that's not fair - if you couldn't be bothered to get the money back .................

10,000 or a quarter of the capacity - whichever lower. So around 8000?

I do worry slightly that Wolves will have kept track of all the different credits correctly..
