Having started the thread which steered us through the last 16, thought I’d better start one which will hopefully see us through the Europa League Quarter Final.

I was at Redcar races for the first game of the Fosun era and remember looking at my phone in disbelief when it beeped to tell me that Rotherham were two up. If you’d offered me promotion from the Champ in 19/20 at that moment I’d have taken it.

3-5-2 for me, but whoever starts up top with Raul is anyone’s guess. I just wish Jeff would pay the ransom money to get our old Diogo back…

Well this is the point I think our journey ends. When we got to the groups I wanted an away day in Seville, so properly gutted we get the draw but that can't happen.

3-5-2. Raul and Jota and hope they click or Jota's chances are not 1 on 1's.

Adama to do his thing from the 60th min.

Nuno on Jonny "It doesn't look good". So looking like his season done.

This does feel a little tinged with sadness for me - not being able to go to a European quarter final, after being at every other home game up until last night, is quite gutting.

Yep, of all the games since restart last nights was the hardest. Had tickets for me and my sons, they barely even bothered with the game.

Really need to sort this out so we can get some normality back in our lives.

Jonny will be a massive miss. Vinagre isn't any better defensively than he was when we signed him 3 years ago I'm afraid, not sure he ever will be.

Also 352, also expecting this to be the end of the road.

Thought Jota looked a lot like 'the old Diogo' last night when he came on. Take away the one on one that he scuffed (was a harder chance than looked), he looked sharp, full of energy and hustling.

In a front 2 he's certainly first choice to partner Jimenez for me.

Presuming Otto can't play I'd start

Patricio
Doherty Dendoncker Coady Boly Vinagre
Saiss Moutinho Neves
Jimenz Jota

Big big options on the bench then to change a game (Traore or Neto)

Always said he'd end up a winger to be honest

Hard for someone to improve when they’re not playing.

He's played 32 times this season, ok a lot off the bench but its hardly like he's not playing at all. Plenty of players make improvements with a lot less game time.

Not knocking him I think he's going to be a great talent just like I say not as a LWB.

You need a bit of luck to win a cup. That's true of any team. We had a decent bit of fun of the green against Olympiakos. It was the first time several players looked proper knackered for the last half hour. Doc was putting like pivot the engine at the end. I would go 343 though.Mountinho on the bench with Traore. Donk and Neves in midfield. Neto Jota Raul up front. And take the game to them.

Really annoyed about that Podence yellow. What an absolute nonsense.

Think we have to go 3-5-2 personally, cannot afford to get outnumbered in the middle or they will pull us pillar to post. I think Mou's just about out of gas at this point, as are a few of them (Doc in particular seemed wasted last night - seems like he might not have been 100% ) so I would guess we're almost certainly going to go counterattack.

Will be tough (not least because Sevilla are already in Germany so have done the hard travel) and we are going to be underdogs, but I think I'm ok with that. Feels like the pressure is off a bit now, which will hopefully work in our favour.

All the formations add up to 10. That’s my math(s) done for the day.

3-4-3 with Jota and Adama starting. Let them worry about us rather than we go out thinking what might have been. If the players are knackered they’ll have all summer to get over it.

We will really have to do our sums to get a result out of this game.

If you take Jonny out of the equation and minus Podence, then we could add Jota up top. Hopefully that will be enough to equal a win.

Is that the right sort of Math?

Alright Deano...

They have about 2 weeks to get over it since we restart around a month after our last game of the campaign

Biggest conundrum....

We’ll be going to Duisburg, drinking the .....

He's played 32 times this season, without counting it up I bet half of those were starts.

He's played 644 minutes in the league and 495 minutes in the Europa. He's started 14 games in total in all competitions, 3 of those were Europa qualifiers, two in what were effectively dead rubber League Cup games and one FA Cup replay. Hardly 'regular football. Out of the 5,220 minutes we've played (without added time). He's played 1,700. It's a fair amount of minutes but it's not like he's had the opportunity to grow into the position and improve, over three seasons he hasn't featured anywhere near enough to grow into the side.
