Will no doubt be a difficult one as their confidence will be high especially after the last game

Sa

Kilman - Coady - Saiss

Semedo - Neves - Moutinho - Ait Nouri
(still not convinced on Semedo, but realistically no other better option available)

Trincao - Jiminez - Hwang

Would change Trincao for Traore or Podence after no more than 65 mins as he seems to run out of energy (clearly not duracell batteries in him!)

If we give them space and sit back we will have a problem, so need to see the quality & energy from the start as we did V Everton.

352 for me.

Raul and Hwang up top with 3 in midfield.

We need to try to compete in midfield

Need a better advanced midfielder than we posess for that ideally, if we go defensive in that area too much it will give space to WH

Damned if we do and damned if we don't.

A 2 man midfield will leave us exposed imho

All the recent history for both teams suggests a comfortable win for West Ham, so I'm going for 2-2, mainly because this will be our 3rd visit to Molineux this season and the previous 2 games have produced 1 win, 1 loss.

Going for something a little different here.

Sa

Kilman Coady Boly

Semedo Neves Moutinho Saiss Ait Nouri
Hwang Raul

More bite in midfield with Saiss and Neves as the DM pairing allowing Joao to move a little forward at times or interchange with Ruben.

I do like the idea of Saiss in midfield, bite, good in the air, decent ball retention, but it's been a very long time since he played there.

Saiss, like Coady, would be a disaster in midfield.

He'd be sent off inside 30 minutes.

Bit of a myth this, how many times has Saiss been sent off for Wolves?

Moutinho has got himself booked within the first 10 minutes of our last two away games, which totally nullified his game (the Palace booking was a farce mind).

Saiss was fine in midfield in the Championship, don't think I've seen him play there in the Premier league. Can do a job but I'd probably only play him there in an emergency. Moutinho is pretty good at the shithousing side of things as well ad his obvious midfield attributes. Obviously he is in danger of being burnt out, personally I'd stick with him for 65-70 minutes of games and despite his shortcomings would utilize Donk more.

Moutinho is a bit better than Saiss.
Of course, but what's your point? I'm not saying we play Saiss instead of Moutinho. Saiss would be playing a defensive midfield role to bolster an area where we lack presence, it also enables us to play Boly who is physically imposing too.

It's absolute bollocks that we are having a discussion about playing Saiss in CM in our 4th season in the Prem though! Fucking dismal recruitment.

My point was Saiss isn't anywhere near the disciplined midfielder compared to Moutinho and that's before we get to his quality being vastly below PL standard.

I agree with you on recruitment, it's dismal.

Terrible PR around it too, Moxey-esque nonsense.

Whilst Saiss has been booked 22 times in 90 games for Wolves in the Prem, he's only been sent off once. (i can't remember what that was for, whether it was 2 bookings or a straight red?)

I think many of those bookings have been rash stupidity, however once he's had that booking he's clearly been very disciplined to then make sure he doesn't get the second booking.

"And when asked if he is in contact with executive chairman Jeff Shi over his January plans, Lage said: “Every day. When the transfer window closed we talked about it then and he knows what I want, but in the same way I need to understand just not the sport, but also the financial things."

Oh do fuck off with financial restraint bollocks Jeff
