Two fouls one on Sa , one on Saiss take your pick. Dean blew before it hit the net it was so clear

We have been comfortably the better side but still lack anything resembling shooting boots. RAN and Semedo both need to improve their crossing but that isn’t news.
even Doc had better crosses :) good half though, but need to be sharper

2-0 watford, OGS could go today
I kind of hate that Watford seem to be getting reward for the way they sacked whatshisface, but if it means that gremlin-ass motherfucker gets the sack, I suppose I'll accept it.

Honestly... Not sure I can disagree.

Wouldn't trade Semedo for Doc if Nelson only had one leg, though.

Been pretty decent, it's nowhere near what the Palace game was like. Not been under huge pressure, got in behind a couple times, Raul really should have done better with his chance.

Doc scored a lot though, thats another dimension, if Semedo can learn how to do that then...

The only way he could have done better was to go round Fabianski, as he stood up he had to dink it either side of him, was good goalkeeping to be fair

Not yet. Podence woke up last 15 minutes
Didn't think It'd really be his game this one. Unless we're dominating around their box he struggles. He's done well the last 15 mins though.

We definitely improved as the half went on which was nice to see. Raul should have put his laces through the chance he had and it was 1-0. Close effort from Saiss, too.

This might be one of those games where Adama may have some joy with direct running up against Cresswell, rather than the tricks of Podence.

A decent half, after the first 10 minutes we were pretty much in control. But as someone else said, we just lack composure in the final 3rd and so end having no real end product worth a damn. Podence spent the first 20 minutes passing the ball to every West Ham player he could find but definitely improved as the half went on.

I just wish we had slightly more attacking threat than a 5 year old girl at a ballet class.

Came home, late on 30 mins, looks like we are battling them in midfield which was my big worry.

Quite a good game I think just a lack of quality in final third from both teams. We've definitely improved as it's gone on but reading back, were nowhere near as bad as people made out.

Played some nice football. enjoyable to watch. They are really hard to break down and create against.

Traore against Cresswell would be interesting but I worry it would unbalance the attack as although Podence was terrible for 20 or so he does get in good position inside Semedo. You'd then have Semedo just watching Traore in front of him and make us very predictable.

I'm not an international class striker so it will always be a bit churlish for me to criticise one but thought he could've gone either through the legs or bottom far corner

Or if he wanted to be fancy, outside of the foot, Asprilla-style

Then Semedo has to learn from that

The finish was hard and low.
