WWE/WWF

Gotta ask what was Wrestlemania X7 like for him to attend in person?

My favourite WM personally.

Loved the OG Trips/Undertaker feud.

Just don't do heel turns like Austin's anymore (and then the next night as the TMPT formed)

That fued was brilliant, even with Motorhead playing Triple H to the ring was epic. Austin has said in interviews he regrets that Heel turn but lets face it whether it was good or not. I think Wrestlemania X7 is the pinnacle of the wrestling business & it will never reach those heights again.

Agree, every match on the card was at least 8/10.

Benoit/Angle, Kane/Raven/Big Show, TLC, McMahon Street fight, then like you say guest appearances by Motorhead, and My Way the theme tune. Brilliant event

It’s not just the card, it’s whole business at the time. WCW had died a cold death after Turner network didnt sell WCW to Bischoff & Fusion media but to Vince for $2.1m, ECW went bankrupt & the 2 biggest stars of all time (not called flair or Hogan) were in the same place a the same time. What came after X-7 is another story

WWE’s post Wrestlemania (which i still havent seen) annual cull has started with the following released so far.

Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Kalisto, Tucker, Wesley Blake, Chelsea Green, Billie Kay, Bo Dallas have been released by WWE.

And there's more to come apparently

It’s been a while but RIP ECW original New Jack who’s passed at the age 58 due to a heart attack

Load of new releases today included Braun Strawman and Alesteir Black. Fuelling rumours that WWE are getting their ducks in a line for a possible sale.

Has anyone else seen the Vice Dark side of the ring documentary on the dynamite kid?

More releases today including Tony Nese, Ariya Davairi & Fandango (who had been at the company 14 years)

Yeah that guy... you know that guy beat Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 29 & his theme tune was a top 40 hit at one point...

also a few others including Tyler Breeze.

basically they’re just cutting budgets and anyone who’s got a decent contract & nog being used is getting binned.

RIP Mr wonderful Paul Orndorff who's passed at age 71 after a long battle with Cancer & dementia.

His big claim to fame was being Roddy Piper's tag team partner in the main event of wrestlemania 1 against Hulk Hogan & Mr T. Fun fact the referee for the match was announced as Muhammed Ali but it was actually Pat Patterson who refereed the bulk of the match.

Ric Flair next in the line of released superstars this time out of his legend deal

Crikey!! Absolute great over the years but this should be welcome to a happy and hopefully long retirement for Ric.

He must have retired 20 times already. Therefore I wouldn't rule out him probably pitching up somewhere again in a few months.
