Martinez on for Arsenal. I liked Martinez when he played for us. Think he had a terrible game where he was at fault for 2 goals might have been QPR at home and I think that soured opinions but thought he was pretty good otherwise.

Yeah I quite liked him. Was definitely better than Ikeme. Didn’t really see it at the time but the way KJ messed around with the keepers at the start of the season should have been a sign it was unravelling

I think Ken knew that Martínez was the better keeper but he was very inexperienced back then and once he had made a few costly mistakes wasn't trusted as much as he probably should have been.

Tbf it was injury which caused him to lose his place in November, went off vs Burnley at home. By the time he was back, we obviously were never going to be able to buy him so we never put him back in.

I like Emi too. He is 27 and has made 40 appearances in total in his senior career since 2012, pretty shit, he should have left Arsenal years ago

Watching Frank Nouble, I genuinely cannot understand how he ever got through any trial at any professional club, let alone Chelsea.

In with a genuine shout for being the worst footballer I have seen at first team level at Wolves. The outfield Paul Jones, Mike Small and Darren Simkin would be in the mix but he's right up there. Crappy trialists don't count.

We're talking genuine lack of ability here, like "you wouldn't have that off your mate in the park" levels. Not just being crap for us like say, Robert Taylor who could obviously play to a point. I've played with better players than Nouble, I guarantee you.

I'll give him some credit, he's playing when they've told him they'll be binning him off afterwards irrespective of the result because of cost cutting. Breaks a leg then he's screwed

On the other side of the coin, it's a free televised trial for him (and he's still getting paid).

He's not even like a workhorse where you think "well, he's rubbish but the effort he puts in while we play this shape really helps us out". So strange.

Bright to AEK Athens. I would put money on him not lasting a season there.

Fernando was a glorious footballer, probably the best I saw play for us in 90s (in terms of genuine technical ability)

Congratulations to Keith Curle, promotion to L1 with Northampton. 4-0 win over Exeter in the playoff final.

Just spotted that Fletcher left Sheff Wed last week, couldn't sort out a new deal.

Being linked with Celtic now, it must be 2012 again.

Was the Anthony Forde who scored a pen for Oxford this week the same one who outskilled wonderkid Zeli a few years ago?

The very same. One of the slowest wingers I've ever seen.

No idea what compelled Mick to pick him for Premier League games.

He signed a short term deal in Feb and that ended when the Covid shit ended the season. He has now re-signed for them on a slightly longer deal
