Denly in the 50 overs and test team I can just about see. Twenty overs? Nah. Not for me.

That said that's a helluva choke today.

Sending Denly in ahead of Stokes.

    It's not a choke. It's fucking insanity.

I completely agree. As a Kent fan I have some Denly bias but I am realistic enough to know, seeing Joe over 15 years, that he is limited. His limitations are less likely to be exposed in fifty over cricket than t20. He is not a natural slogger

SA win the Toss and chose to field

England are unchanged - hope they don't open with Buttler again

    Buttler gone for 2

    What a waste

Why break up a terrific and exciting opening partnership, and use a player who is good further down the order?

Bairstow does need to be able to change his shot if the bowler bowls a dangerous delivery - no need to attack the last ball of the over when you’ve already scored 14.

This isn't a dig at the player, but the selection. If you are 4 down with 5 overs left than the answer isn't Denly. Malan or Bairstow to open, the other at 3 Buttler at 6

Wood comes on and gets both de Kock and Bavuma.
