Roy out of the next 2 games, Vince to play. Morgan a doubt for tomorrow, I presume Dawson would then play as a batsman, pointless picking Moeen as one. If Mo plays I'd expect Woakes to move up the order again
Windies finish 321-8. Seems picking up rins late is more important than usual.
My name is Geoff...
Great contest between the two, Bangladesh could do it- Shakib needs a big score, Mahmudullah needs to finish the job whenever the next wicket falls- important points for both sides.
Positivity.....
Bangladesh are MILES ahead of the rate and plenty of wickets in hand. This is a fantastic chase so far.

Excellent century for Shakib.

Plus a very valuable 50 for Liton Das. They are so close now. Surely they just have to keep their heads and they coast home from here.

That's the Windies effectively out. Assuming we win tomorrow what should have been a competitive format sees the Top 4 already close to being home and hosed.
24 off that last over.
Bangladesh want to improve their NRR

Bangladesh still have to play Australia, India and Pakistan
This win will give them an outside chance if any of the top four slip up.

India still have to play Australia as well. This could well tighten up.
All we have seen so far from New Zealand is beating up the poorer sides and then a no result against India. They haven't been tested at all.

Paddy you should work for Sky with your attempts to hype up a done deal. If England win tomorrow, I will promise to read and contribute to the Cybertosis thread if the Top 4 end up being different to how they currently are.
Magnificent victory for Bangladesh. Thoroughly and richly deserved.

Wait until I get started on Lampard to Chelsea...
My point is that, even though they sit pretty today, I am not at all convinced by New Zealand yet. I will concede that they need to lose a couple while Bangladesh and / or Sri Lanka go on a winning streak.
Also I still think Convict CC are shite and are lucky to have got the wins in the bank that they have so far.
The format is fine. The problem is that for some reason South Africa have been absolute fucking bobbins, and bar one game Pakistan and the Windies have been equally woeful.

I agree, there's an argument about minnows not being given the opportunity and hindering the wider expansion of the game, but in terms of competition it should be the best format, which is a shame it's not imho going to be tight for qualification. Overall it's a World Cup that's still waiting to explode. There's been some fine individual performances but with the table situation, the weather and the lack of a tight finish it's in need of a spark.
I think Bangladesh would have beaten Sri Lanka and India would have beaten New Zealand, which would have made it all a bit tighter at this point. Sadly not to be.
The travesty is Australia jamming three wins when really getting one of them would have been a bit fortunate.
England win the Toss and chose to bat first against Afghanistan.
Vince in for Roy and Moeen in for Plunkett

Vince gone for 26.
Should have gone earlier but Afghanistan have been generally shit in the field but this was a simple chance
Vince was desperate to get out playing that shot, tried it about 4 times
Very cautious start so far.

Hopefully after this WC we bin Vince off for good. Not good enough for any format, never has been. Selectors keep going back to him
Bairstow goes for 90
England looking at 320 at the moment

Morgan should be out. Afghanistan are appalling in the field
Morgan having some fun here. 7 6's so far in his innings....make that 8
79 from 46 balls
Morgan has accelerated the score well, so I'll now revise my prediction to 350-360.

100 for Morgan from 57 balls. 11 sixes in that
God I bloody love watching Morgan like this.
)
What a hundred from Morgan with 11 x 6's
4th fastest in WC history, 57 balls
