Couldn't get fillet steaks, so I will have to slum it with sirloin steaks instead.

No, slumming it is mine. Hot dogs, burgers, kebabs, and marinated honey and mustard chicken breast on sticks , corn on the cob, and homemade 3 coloured potato salad

I'm not a fan of potato salad. Too stodgy. Give me Florida salad all day long.

Bear, I put chopped celery, red onion and green grapes and dill cucumbers in mine , so not really a traditional potato salad. Oh , and plain yoghurt.

I'm actually very pleased with the steaks I have got. Nice and thick so I will be able to have them very rare in the middle.

    Bearnaise sauce

Plus some nice garlic butter prawns to create the surf and turf.

    Om nom nom

Moroccan kebabs with pitta, dips and cous cous. Was delicious! No vampires will be troubling me tonight, I smell positively French.

Got a cod fillet in the fridge. Probably bake it with lemon, garlic and parsley and some buttered new potatoes to go with.

I've never eaten a pot noodle.

I don't intend to start anytime soon either tbh...

They used to be great for when you got back in late from the pub. Quick, easy, and you didnt really care what they tasted like.

But if you hadnt mixed it properly , you'd come to a blob of crap at the bottom !

Cabbage is rank. Not quite as bad as sprouts though.

Tonight I fried chives, peppers, onions and garlic in a wok. Got a couple of pork loin chops, cut them into slivers. Rolled them in cornflour, then dipped them in egg, then them dropped into a very hot pan with a good amount of sesame oil in it. As they shallow fried I seasoned with sea salt, black pepper, chilli flakes and more garlic.

On the side I had thin egg noodles boiling away. As it became soft I drained the water and dropped it into the wok with the veg. Took the now crispy pork out of the pan and placed on a chopping board covered in kitchen towel to absorb the grease. Added 2 sachets of Amoy Peanut Satay sauce to the noodles and veg, and added the crispy pork for the final 2 mins so it does not go soggy but still absorbs the satay.

Homemade Crispy Satay Pork. Nicer than any takeaway version I've had and less than half the price
