Brentford v Wolves - Matchday Thread.

Wolves travel to one of my favourite grounds today, as they attempt to end their losing run. We had a great result there last season, and hopefully that will be repeated.

Sweeping changes to the first team and a 2-0 Wolves I reckon.
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to Hélder Costa

I think I should forecast a Brentford win, so I do not get derided for my optimism.....!!

Let's be even more optimistic. A Wolves win and a Liverpool 0-3 defeat.

Sadly I predict a 3-0 win for Brentford, who will be eager to get revenge for last season! And I'm usually full of Frank-like optimism!

As Frank slides into the sloth of despond, I predict a 3-0 win for The Wolves.

Best starting XI possible. Surprised to see Clarke on the bench, though. K Mac needed dropping, good move. Great to see Scott Golbourne back.

McAlinden and Keita on the bench one week...ditched straight after. Hause not even on the bench. Doherty still in despite being obviously awful week after week.

At least Golbourne is back and McDonald has been dropped.

I would have dropped Doherty but KJ knows better (I hope). Still, happy with that starting XI.

Agree with this, it does worry me. Hopefully we produce a good performance.

Does feel like we are starting anyone but Stearman, still not sure why we didn't loan Maguire in now Dawson is fit at Hull.

Don't think we'll ever loan anyone who isn't a possible permanent deal

Excited by the lineup. It looks a well balanced side, possibly the strongest we have given the form of McDonald and dicko's injury. Slightly concerned by the inexperienced (though talented) defensive midfield pairing though. Fingers crossed

I wouldn't have dropped McDonald for Saville. Other than that ok.

will take a point but what I would love is three. Whatever I really want a performance that matches last season here . No reason why the team KJ is sending ouyt cant do a job. Pressed for a result I will go for 0-0 or 1-0 to us for a positive! Its time to get it right and the blip ends here

I hope Saville can do the job as I think he's talented enough for it but must be more willing to get stuck into a fight.

I think Evans and Saville should be an improvement on McDonald and Rowe. Don't think we'll be so ponderous in possession or so easily brushed aside today. Also good to see Rajiv get a start, he needs a run of games now.

More optimistic than I was now that I've seen the line-up. Ricketts alongside Batth - Good. Goldbourne back in - Good. McDonald dropped - Great. RVLP in - Good. I think we might even win today.

The pace of Gray against our centre backs worries me, so they will need to have a strong performance

Very slow start to the game, Brentford had more of possession but we are growing into it. Graham tidy with back go goal. Van la Parra giving the ball away every time he gets it and wastes counter attack with tame shot from distance

Which Sako obviously shoots! Just over. Not a bad effort but a bit of a waste, we are keeping Brentford up the field well at the moment
