The media hounding of celebrities who make mistakes has to stop. The tabloids have already gone through their sites and deleted the web-pages of all the stories about her from recent weeks, whilst at the same time putting out a story about how tragic it is. Utter cunts.
Oh my god! Whitney's dead? How's Michael Jackson taking it?

Utter scumbag shithousery from the tabloid media, no one especially celebrities are allowed 1 mistake in life. Everyone has to live a perfect life in a world where you virtually can’t hide away anymore.
Any suicide is tragic and utterly devastating but the tobloids have not only destroyed one life they’ve left a huge hole in much more.
Society take a long hard look at yourself, get rid of the blame and culture of outrage at the slightest thing.

Are male celebrities treated differently? Taking ant out of ant and Dec and his drink driving,he was hammered, crashed his car, could have killed some pedestrians, couple of months off work, then business as usual,Caroline flack assaults her boyfriend(for whatever reasons) and the media hounds her to an early death

Depends on how your face fits with the media, certain celebs will get away with more depending on who they are.

Her management firm now blaming the CPS for going ahead with her case. Sorry but hindsight is great unfortunately the case is DV related so it can’t just be swept under the carpet. Even if the complainant no longer wishes to press charges, CPS would be absolutely slaughtered if they were found to be not pursuing DV cases regardless of the circumstances.
No surprise tabloids have jumped on this immediately to try and deflect any responsibility.

Absolutely. Not sure why the boyfriend called the police (when he didnt want to press charges). No wonder she was upset. What an awful unnecessary waste of a life.

I had no idea who this lady was until she died, so I can't comment on her as a person, but sometimes it's necessary to call the police in order to calm or control a situation, not because you want someone to end up in court. Since the bf remains sympathetic, my guess would be that she was more in need of sectioning than prosecuting.

I feel very out of touch, not knowing who the hell he is/was.

Probably he'd never heard of me either.

To be fair I was the same (him not you) when they announced it until some other DJ who i'd never heard of proclaimed "the word genius is bandied about all too often these days but in his case it was true"
I did appreciate the irony of him bandying the word 'genius' about !

Genius is an overworked term but I'm struggling to think of anything else that defines him.

although screamadelica is likely his best known work, I'll always love the sabres of paradise, and two lone swordsmen. Some brilliant stuff.
He also did echo dek with the primals, and a manic remix for James of Jam J.

Heather Couper is off to the stars she loved so much. Her love of astronomy on childrens telly back in the day was infectious.

Blimey. That’s mad. Back in Black is a great album but apart from that all the good AC/DC output is from the Bon Scott years. Let there be Rock is probably still in my top five favourite albums of all time.
