34' Chance after chance for Wolves to level. Graham, Coady and Doherty all with crosses, none converted. The hosts really pressing.

    Missing an actual striker?
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to Hélder Costa

Just sounds like the crosses we behind players and 2 shots were blocked. So not a striker issue right now

    Defence back on track today.

We go attacking stylee and it falls apart at the back 0-2 (Doherty to blame for Deutsch. SO just needs an Edwards fuck up for the full DW House)

Ball pulled back from the by line by Doherty and 3 Wolves players all miss it. Zyro, EEL and 1 other.. what a mad scramble! everyone roaring the crowd on it's feet and Jesus! I could SMELL a goal coming!
Now it's a good long run from ..... to Edwards, a great little through ball for VLP and he can't quite get it on target but that was close!
But to show you what close is, Cardiff break and Noone with another long rage shot smashes a shot from distance into the top right corner leaving IKeme floundering.
2 stunning goals. As opposed to the relative powder puff attempts we've tried from a similar distance. That's how you do it!

Oh don't worry about that. He'll churn out his usual non-descript dross.

    (Watch him score now).

Doherty out of position, but it's Batth that runs alongside him horizontal to the goal for 5 yds and lets him get the shot away

VLP belts it and the keeper diving, amongst legs, spills it and we think Zyro has the final touch to poke it over the line!
    Terrific attack. 2-1.

Peltier through the back of Graham and the ref waves on. Bruno climbing all over Zyro and..... the ref waves play on.... Again!!

Wolves unlucky to be behind. Played some good football, created ample chances. Two wonder-thwacks from Noone. HT, 1-2.

We're gonna have to win 6-2 to go above Cardiff.

So, not playing badly at all but punished by 2 poor errors. 1 from Ikeme and t'other from a Batth/Doherty combo?

Creating chances at least, so still hope to get back in this.

No. We were level on points with them. So any win and we go 3 points ahead of them.

Great half of football. Certainly compared to some of the dull dross that's been witnessed here this season. Nine shots each.

9 shots each in the first half. I just wish we could find some middle ground between San Marinoesque defending and being completely open on the counter.

Easy. Buy a centre half and a left back.

    Indeed.

And a centre midfielder. And a forward. Apart from that we are great!
