Ultimately we won, ironically the change it brought about probably helped us, but we now have a player that won't be on the pitch until 2017 and he's had zero justice for it.
I would be very interested to hear what the assessor said afterwards. And even more interested to know why the player was not sent off. At the worst, the referee will get a couple of weekends off, but all referees are constantly made aware that challenges that are reckless, out of control or dangerous should always result in a red card being shown. That challenge was all three, and on this occasion I have no intention of defending the referee.

I wish I could get away with a complete fuck up at work with only a couple of weekends off.

That sort of tackle could end a players career and all the referee gets is max 2 weeks paid leave?

I doubt it is paid leave, but he really needs to explain why he did not send off the MK Dons player.

Even if it is unpaid, the outcome could possibly be Zyro never being the same player again:

Rank gross incompetence, would only be one outcome in a sane workplace.

The incident at Milton Keynes last night is one reason why referees should be allowed to explain their decisions. The referee saw the challenge and cautioned the player. I think most people would agree that it was a red card offence. I would like to hear the referees explanation as to why he only cautioned the player.

    Red card isn't justice. Should

Jeez. Terrible challenge. What did the ref even need to consult his linesman for?

Only had commentary on, but seeing the pictures of that the MK player should not be allowed anywhere near a football pitch for a long time

A studs up tackle at knee height can be nothing more than a potential career ending challenge

Ought to be banned until Zyro is fit again IMO.

The defender could have just slid across the turf with his body and take Zyro out. The fact that he kept his leg and studs up meant that it was deliberate. Terrible challenge, refereeing and awful news for Zyro and Wolves. Having seen the dirty bastards at wolves earlier in the season this doesn't surprise me.

Woeful refereeing that day as well, they first kicked Graham up in the air after 30 seconds and continued doing it for an hour before the ref took any action.

If you search around on Twitter - try putting Zyro or WWFC into the search - you may find an 8 sec video of the challenge on an iPhone. It looks even worse when you see it in real time: MK player clearly keeps his leg up in the air
