I couldn't remember why he left the Labour party so just checked his Wikipedia...one of his (many) offensive past online comments was to call Jamie Cullum a 'conceited cunt' who should be 'sodomised with his own piano'.

    What a guy.

Now in the process of stepping down, clearing although he has an unsavoury history his current mental health is something he needs help with.
It'll be a very interesting by election, Cleggs old seat and will be held once the students are back.

Happily she works a couple of floors up in my building too.

If she's the Green MEP for the West Midlands then she must have been the one I voted for!

As I've said before I don't think Williamson is knowingly an anti semite, but he is a spectacularly stupid man

Mr B, your man didn't even bother voting tonight. The Speaker and his deputies didn't vote, nor did your seven from Sinn Fein obviously. That's all normal.

But he was one of six who either abstained or just weren't there. O'Mara is one of them and that's because the headcase never turns up.

    Have I won yet?

He's still touring the country trying to get MP's deselected from a Party who want rid of him.

I can't give you the win. Because there's no way I'm conceding Gav as a whole, let alone not even being the worst Williamson.

To her credit, did rebel tonight.

But all of the above probably still applies otherwise.

Yeah, I saw that. An unexpected second attack of backbone after resigning as a minister. Obviously, as a Tory, self-interest is hard wired though - Guildford has some history of flirting with the Lib Dems and voted Remain in the ref so I'm guessing she's doing what she can to retain her seat. But for now I'll give her the credit she's due for doing the right thing.

ERG stalwart Andrew Bridgen on @BBCPM saying the only way he could see a NI only backstop being acceptable is if it was put to an NI-only referendum. Fascinating.

    Andrew Bridgen

    @ABridgen
I realise that what I said was wrong and caused a great deal of distress and offence. It was not my intention to do so, and I do not want to add in any way to the pain that this tragic event has caused. I apologise unreservedly.

Ah bless. Maybe you should think about not speaking in public Mr Bridgen as you are obviously a clueless buffoon who isn't really fit for the job. Have you ever thought that you get invited on such programmes for that very reason and it gives the media plenty of soundbites of you looking/sounding exactly like the village idiot that Packington is missing since your government gave you £2m out of their HS2 hardship fund?
Lets hope that he settles his differences with his family and starts paying rent on the property that he's now shacked up in.

The Right Wing of the Tory Party have always been heartless, compassionless bastards. What makes this lot particularly special is unlike most of their predecessors they lack the self awareness to know it and therefore try to disguise it

    Remember The Demon Headmaster?

He looks like him, but bald.

Sadly I still have Gav. He won 73% of the vote here last week. FFS. Do you people not even watch the news?

I wouldn't mind so much but he does absolutely fuck all for the area, he's never here.

I've gone from a Tory with a terrible voting record but who did at least stand up for local issues to a Tory from outside the area who describes herself as waiting for Brexit from the day she was born.
    Bring on PR.

Same. Our new MP is Rees-Mogg’s niece.

Words cannot express my contempt for people who voted for her. I’m purposely not asking people who they voted for, as I will never be able to speak with them again.

She’ll be living in London, no? 35k doesn’t for far there at all.

I get the sentiment, but if you want professional successful people you need to pay for them. 60ish K is already not enough for that.

She was applying for Christmas temp jobs before the election, so I guess she sees £35k as quite a comfortable amount.

I'm not sure if it is the right thing or not.
