Pontius is a Latin Name. I would have to be Paddocrates

Presumably this is to accommodate an 8pm KO for Man Utd for their second leg? If both ties are televised, they would expect and get the prime slot!

Doesn't matter, we've gone head to head with them loads of times in this competition already (we're hardly in competition with them anyway, we're not going to take audience share away from them in a straight fight)

Just seems UEFA have gone with their straight split of 4 early, 4 late and for some reason we haven't challenged it which I do find very surprising.

Oh btw my supporter number is 99% available for the home leg. I think I've got 150 odd points. I'll confirm on Monday but pretty sure I've an afternoon meeting I can't get out of that day. Stoopid early kick off time.

Probably wanna keep in UEFA's good books, nobody wants them looking at the finances with a fine tooth comb a la City.

Season ticket holders have until next Tuesday (10th) at 5pm to buy their home tickets for Olympiacos.

    Same prices as Espanyol.

1,600 tickets for the away game.

Is it just me or have they changed the 'upload to smart card' option? Previously I had to match each card to each ticket I bought, now I just have two options 'Do not collect separately' (whatever the fuck that means) and 'upload to smart card'

I suggested this in another thread - I think it makes a lot of sense in terms of getting through the competitions quickly in a fair way, and it can also replace a postponed Euros.

You could even do it as a kind of mini-Olympics thing, where you test all the teams beforehand and then have them all stay in one large quarantined residential facility near a host stadium for the two weeks it'll take to run through.

Would need to play off the last 16 round games that had not been completed, but could see this as an option.

Single games in a neutral stadium over a max of 10 days - not what would normally be the case but better than wiping it out entirely.
This year we will mainly be conquering Europe

(paused for the moment, but hopefully to be continued)

I don't know whether they just pull these dates out of a hat or what, but IF this is based on a feasible scientific model, it's encouraging to think that we'll be able to start talking about football again within 3 months.
These are the days, my friend

Isn't it just the last feasible week before players' contracts expire?

I think it's more a fingers crossed we can play it then or next season is a fookin mess than a feasible model being used.

Head of UEFA says that CL and EL will be cancelled if not completed before September. His preference is to play behind closed doors in July and August
