If true, a clear indication of what Paul Cook thinks of him

    From mid-week:

Leo Bonatini came on as a 70th minute sub in the Portuguese Cup and still managed a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win. Roderick Miranda made his comeback, playing the full game of a 2-1 win, while Dadashov came on as an 80th minute sub in a 2-1 loss at home to Sporting Lisbon and Ronan played in a cup win for DAC.

Niall Ennis played the first half against Man Utd’s U23s in the Whatdoyacallit Cup.

Connor Johnson made his debut in the SPL, playing 90 minutes alongside Alex Bruce (who got sent off) in a 2-1 win at Motherwell. He was also booked.
    .
Plovdiv played another game on Tuesday and alas, no sign of Deslandes and Graham.

I remain unconvinced that Graham is actually there

I know what Big Kevvy T said at the Parliament, but there's no way someone who posts *that* much on social media (Graham, not Kev) doesn't say anything whatsoever about his move. Also nothing on the very reliable Transfermarkt, nothing on Plovdiv's website as far as I can see - although my Bulgarian is only slightly better than my Black Country.

    From this weekend:

Ivan Cavaleiro - Fulham, The Championship.

Played the full game of a 3-0 loss at home to Hull but had an ineffective game.

Roderick Miranda - Famalicao, Portuguese Primeira Liga

Made his league comeback only to get sent off 34 minutes in, as seen above. That’ll be another month out for Rodders.

Connor Ronan - DAC Streda, Slovak Superleague

A full game in a 0-0 draw at home.

On as sub: Rafa Mir came on in the last minute in Forest’s 2-1 win at Luton while Leo Bonatini played the last 25 minutes of a 1-1 draw away.

    No game: Norris, Deslandes, Graham.

    Unused sub: Diallo, Dadashov, Herc.

Not in squad: Bright, Giles, Ennis, John, Johnson, Wang.

Ennis has a minor injury, Diallo is due to return shortly and Giles is back in training and in contention for this weekend. I can't see any news on John which is a real shame as by all accounts he's been tremendous for Donny.

    Thanks for the update, Nando.

Will Norris played and kept a clean sheet at Rochdale tonight while Ryan Giles was an unused sub.

Also, looks like Deutsch was right; Jordan Graham came off the bench for the U23s tonight so he's clearly not in Bulgaria. Deslandes is still nowhere to be seen but that might just be cos he's rubbish.

    From Joey E&S

"Jordan Graham is officially back with Wolves after issue with Fifa clearance saw his loan at Lokomotiv Plovdiv ended. Same applies to Sylvain Deslandes. An administrative error by Bulgarian FA meant neither of them got clearance, so they weren't able to play competitive fixtures"

Leo on the bench vs Arsenal (starting in 15 mins or so, weird KO time, apparently Portugal find it impossible to have two games going on relatively near each other on the same day, Braga have Besiktas tomorrow in our group)

    From the weekend:

Ivan Cavaleiro - Fulham, The Championship.

Started at Blues but was taken off after 65 minutes after another quiet game.

Will Norris - Ipswich Town, League One.

Didn’t get off to a great start at home to Lincoln in the cup, letting one in at his near post, but made amends with a penalty save and a couple of good stops. Ipswich drew level and forced a replay.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzUGuMlvFFk

Connor Ronan - DAC Streda, Slovak Superleague

Played 90 minutes of a 3-1 win. Went on a great run in the first half and hit a shot just wide after playing a one-two.

On as sub: Ryan Giles came on with 10 minutes to go and whipped in a wicked cross that his team-mate should have scored from. Renat Dadashov came on for the second half in his team’s 1-0 win while Leo Bonatini was introduced after 67 minutes of a 2-0 defeat to our friends Braga - neither of them could make a mark on their games.

    Unused sub: Mir.

Not in squad: Bright, Ennis, John, Johnson, Miranda (suspended), Herc, Wang.

Do we know if he's filled out at all? Joao shows that you can run a PL midfield at 5foot7 but he's a tough bugger.

Young Connor can handle himself. He was good when he played CM for us under Lambo (albeit he was alongside some real shitehawks so maybe he just looked a load better than he actually is)

We probably still need a new attacking central midfield player who can offer something different. If that's the case then it'll depend if the club rate Ronan over MGW, if not then there wont be any point bringing him back.

I'd argue he's not the same kind of player.

It will be interesting to see what kind of player he is when he comes back. Is he a midfielder in the Moutinho mould or is he an attacking midfielder, in which case I don't think he's ever going to be a success at Wolves given how we play. I hope it's the former and solves a problem we may have in midfield later in the season with tiredness.

Yeah, let’s send a 19 year with a load of top flight appearances off to some obscure Eastern European team

Yeah, when you put it like that

I'd still like MGW to get regular game time though

Will Norris didn't play last night. I presume he's picked up a knock unless he's suddenly been relegated to third choice. Let's hope it doesn't put that England call-up in doubt.

Regarding Ronan, he's definitely a fixture in the DAC side and seems to play deeper than he did for us. At what level of quality you'd put the Slovakian top flight though is anyone's guess.

They're competing with Slovan Bratislava at the top of the league, that's the only real frame of reference we have.
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to Hélder Costa

    From this weekend:

Ivan Cavaleiro - Fulham, The Championship.

Played in two full games in three days. The first one against QPR where he hit the post in first half, although he didn’t score or assist. That changed tonight however with a lovely touch for Fulham’s third in their win over Derby.

Will Norris - Ipswich Town, League One.

Back in the starting line-up on Saturday in a 2-2 draw at home to Blackpool. Couldn’t do much to prevent the two goals, with one being blasting in from close range after rebounding off a post and the other a penalty. Must have done something to annoy Lambo though - he was on the bench again tonight.

Connor Ronan - DAC Streda, Slovak Superleague

Played 90 minutes of a 5-0 loss. They were five down at half-time so it could have been worse I suppose.

On as sub: Ryan Giles came on after 57 minutes and the Shrews drew level from 3-1 down shortly after - they still conceded a late winner though. Rafa Mir came on for the last few minutes in a goalless draw at Bristol City.

    Unused sub: Diallo, Johnson, Dadashov

Not in squad: Bright,Ennis, John, Miranda, Herc, Wang.

    No game: Bonatini.
