    Top 10 Underrated Guitar Players

On the back of the 10 albums thread,
As the title says guitarists you think are underrated or overlooked in the usual top 10.

    Robin Trower
    Lindsay Buckingham
    Richard Thompson (acoustic)
    Alex Lifeson
    Martin Barre
    James Dean Bradfield
    Jonny Marr
    Nuno Bettancourt
    Steve Craddock
    Scott Gorham

special mention for Malcolm Young, Angus gets all the hero worship but without Malcolms driving rhythm riffs its not as good

Duane Allman. A genius. Would have been a household name if he hadn't have died so young.

Saw Lyndsey Buckingham do Big Love live with FM in 2015. It was epic and I got a good video of it, as I like to play this myself on guitar.

When I saw FM a few weeks ago I did wonder if they would do it, but they didn't and it was the right call, as it is Lyndseys song.

Incredible on the guitar. Whether he is underrated is questionable though. Just about EVERYONE in the guitar world knew what a stunning player he was.

Oh he's brilliant, tbh when I started this thread the title was always gunna throw up some brilliant guitarists that lots of people know, was intended to avoid the Hendrix/Clapton/Page/Slash etc types

He put his guitar down for ages, and it made me really sad. Then two weeks ago he picked it up and fucking nailed Cowboys From Hell like he had never been away from it. Weird scenes. He is playing a lot again now and I have a happy face about that.
