No-one is going to come here and be demonstrably fourth choice, particularly under a manager who next to never rotates the team unless he really has to. You're into the realms of Jordan Hugill style signings if you do that.

We can negotiate. The porno dwarves can't.

I'd have happily paid £45m for Haller and £25m for Fornals this summer to be honest.

I think Haller is a little over at £45m, not by much. The deal for Fornals is a good one, to be fair.

Just noticed, Brighton paying £20 million for some defender from Bristol, we get Cutrone, an Italian international, for £16 million.

Makes we want to let out evil sounding 'Bwahaha'.

    Crazy!

Decent player and Bristol have played the market superbly to get that for him. The English transfer market is off its tits at the mo

Webster is a good player. The wankers from Ashton Gate have maximised the value there. Been clear all summer about what it was likely to cost. Villa walked away, Brighton didn't.

Another triumph for Mick at that end of the market. Less than £1m when he signed him for Ipswich three years ago.

Why anyone doubted that we would do the business I don't know

Getting players from places like AC Milan (& an Italian Int to boot) for that price is unreal

A few years back we were signing Grant Holt on loan - maybe I will wake up from the coma soon!!
This year we will mainly be conquering Europe

Guess its partly Mendes and maybe we are cute enough not to go for the 'names' and rather go for players with loads of talent, great attitude who aren't first choice at their current clubs and are under utilized

It's exactly what Milanistas call him.

Can I just say that you've come across as a lovely, well reasoned individual over the last week and that I look forward to hearing your opinions on this forum more often.

If you can pronounce it properly in Cutrone, is it not possible to pronounce it properly as an abbreviated Cutro?

Not just that, look at Raul, Neves, Boly, Cutrone, all have come off the back of pretty unspectacular seasons at the selling club, makes it harder for them to drive the price up massively.
