So have we signed these from Braga? Odd that they were on loan at Lazio for 2 years but that Braga wouldn't want them back?

    Blimey that happened very quickly.

    Pretty much.

We either have 2 decent squad fillers on our hands or in 12-18 months Mendes is moving them on to another club and we get our money back.

Seems a bit weird, think this is a favour to Mendes as discussed earlier. For one, one of the players is a small winger and secondly from Thelwells comments they aren't going to play in the first team straight away so I expect these 2 will play some under 23 games and occasionally maybe make the bench for some Europa games but have these 2 really shown anything to suggest they're worth nearly 20m? Probably not.

Can't say I feel hugely comfortable about this. Assume that's just me being old fashioned & hope I'm proved wrong. I'l reserve judgement until the end of the window
Prediction 24th January: 14 games to go: 6 wins, 5 draws, 3 defeats - final points 57 when the league finishes in May 2023...

It's a win/win for us in my opinion. We have nowt to lose on bringing them in

This is textbook selling players for purposefully over inflated fees, two complete unknowns who wont play a game shifting hands for eight digit figures, first to lazio and now to us

They could turn out to be good, young signings. They certainly have pedigree and don't look like mugs.

    Welcome Neto and Jordao!

Odd one this, but hard to complain about some potential future prospects.

Hopefully Mr. Mendes can have a quick word with Dias for us now!

If we have spent the fee reported its not a win unless they work out to be useful surely? Am sure the money could be better used on targets to make an actual first team impact.

just as a comparison, we could have got konsa (one of the top english defensive prospects) for 12m

At the end of their time here we won't be out of pocket, whether they fail or not (just look at past deals with in the Mendes stable). I seriously wouldn't worry about this impacting on our main targets, it won't

I feel pretty confident that these transfers aren’t going to take anything away from any other business we’re doing.

20m euro is what several online sources (including lazio ones) reporting.

Neto cost Lazio 16m to make permanent according to this so it wouldn't surprise me to see a higher combined fee of around 20m or possibly a bit higher.

Neto is highly rated by Benfica and looks like we nipped in ahead of them.
