The point is my decision is based on cost and reasonable adjustments not any dislike or prejudice against the transgender community.

Surely it's cheaper to have gender neutral toilets, used by everyone, than having two separate gender ones? One of something is usually cheaper than two

Yes if youíre starting from scratch. No if you had male and female multi occupancy toilets and your buildings date from the 19 th century. Change isnít easy. But not changing doesnít make me transgender phobic

So basically you are saying that money is more important than people.

No that would be listed building status but there is also not a will to make that change so some of it is purely about money I concede

How expensive is it to put a gender neutral/these toilets are for everyone sign on the door, and how would that affect listed buildings? You get gender neutral toilets in Victorian houses no problem

You have a toilet with a cubical and three urinals. Pretty gender specific. We have five cisterns in a row. They are now gender neutral. Ladies three cubical and baby change unit stays ladies. Single occupancy is easy. No planning permission. And its a conservation area.

And that's it for this on the election thread from me. If you want to debate it more, create another thread.

So how does a man change a babies nappy?
Socks before or after trousers, but never before pants. That's the rule.

I was wrong about Malaysia by the look of it.
Some surprises in there, I realised of lack of acceptance in parts of SE Asia, but not that people couldn't actually visit the countries either. Sad state of the world. I have two family members in my family in the same position, much older, and I never until the last couple of years thought in depth about the type of world they grew up in.

Can't really imagine how tough it must be, we also have a family member, wifes nephew, he has really struggled with it, it is getting better but not helped that his gender change is being hampered by an admin cock up, atm doesn't have an official identity, no NI number, just can't get on with his life.
A small thing almost had me in tears a few weeks ago, after burying my mum-in-law (his nan) we were joshing around and he said he wanted his granddads old armchair but his mum said no way the old thing was coming home with them. I kinda joked that he should wait till his mum wasn't looking, then get a mate to help him sneak it in, his response was 'I don't have any mates' not in a whiny way, just matter of fact like thats just the way his life is and nothing to be done about it.....cracked me up.
Sorry to go on about my personal stuff

It's been thrown at me that I'm a cunt, but I've got no argument there.

I'm not saying you *are* those things, but tbh if it's an accusation that's thrown at often then you probably need to think about what you say.
I am a white man (UK born) of pensionable age and have never been accused of discriminating against anybody or organisation concerning race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, ethnicity, etc. However, I am frequently called a cunt.
Cosy consensus makes for a boring forum.
