I've said it before, but I'm sure I read or heard that he created rifts in our dressing room, had players competing and falling out over who earned the most etc. I think it was a very old Bully greatest goals video or something. Or I could be completely wrong and have imagined it !
Why they will qualify: Nuno Espirito Santo is actually a tactical genius.

There's some mitigation here. All of Dixon, Stevens, Jones and Parker were injured. But it wasn't like there were 0 right backs in the whole of the country, he even went on to pick the likes of Bardsley and Barrett later on. Not world beaters but actual right backs. Better than putting a centre half there.

We played Trevor Steven at RWB vs France and David Batty (!) at RB vs Sweden.

Oh, and he took Neil Webb to Euro 92 but not Paul Ince. They were playing for the same club at the time. Did he honestly think Mr Blobby was playing better?

We discussed Euro 92 a couple of weeks ago, and how horribly unbalanced the squad was. 1 natural right side sided option I think (including both RB and RW in that 1!) and about 5 or 6 for the left
