    Which is your favourite, Paddy?

I loved Black Flag and Brotherhood.

It was repetitive and quite dull, but it set the ball rolling for some great games. I like AC2 a lot and I quite like Syndicate even though I know a lot of people hated it.

Ah apologies. Origins is the one I was on about in ancient Egypt. Not played Odyssey.
Oh my god! Whitney's dead? How's Michael Jackson taking it?

Assassins Creed Odyssey is absolutely brilliant. It's such a vast improvement on the previous AC games I've played. It's stunning to look at, the missions are varied, the combat system has been revamped and is miles better, the characters are really good and it's absolutely vast. I really like the story too - they've paced it well and when things open up, it's pretty exciting. The number of side quests are ridiculous, and that's a good thing because the XP you earn for completing them helps you to level up quicker which you need for some of the main story quests.

I'm taking my time with it but I'm 16 hours in and I've only visited 8% of the map.

The main downside is that I keep wanting to do 1 more side quest before I finish which means a lot of very late nights!

I've cancelled my fifa 20 preorder. gonna pass this year.

AC2 fixed a lot of the annoying problems of AC1, not even really worth a look at this point, agreed that it's an annoying play looking back on it now.

Odyssey is fantastic. Fighting the Minotaur was one of my favourite things in any game ever. Not because it was challenging or rewarding particularly, just because it's the Minotaur and it's fucking ace...

Did this last night. I didn't know why you liked it so much..... and then it all made sense.

The dialogue in that is well funny.

I also managed to wipe out a cult member by plowing through his ship. Fuck yeah.

    I love this game.

Lets go Pikachu is apparently a remake of sorts of all the Gameboy ones.

It is sort of but has the original 151 plus some of the newer pokemon. Forgot how mad the world went for pokemon in the late 90’s.

Enjoy the game would love to know if it’s any good.

Kind of a remaster of Pokemon Yellow, specifically. But with some incredibly smart changes to HMs and random encounters that I'm actually really peeved haven't made their way into Sword & Shield.

    Yellow wasn't an original.

It's generally still considered Gen 1, similar to Crystal for Gen 2, Emerald for Gen 3, etc etc.

Red and Blue came first, together, Yellow followed a while after.

I enjoyed Sun quite a bit (or maybe it was Moon, can't remember). haven't played the newer ones, but excited for the release coming out on switch. may force me to have to buy the system.

Assassins Creed Odyssey now has to sit in my top 10. It's just fantastic fun.

This particular skill never fails to amuse or entertain me.

Control is really really good, a few frame rate issues even on my PS4 pro but it’s an excellent game.

Can I ask a stupid question (especially as I have been gaming all my life)?

If I have started Read Dead Online on my X-Box, can I then continue online on my PS4 or would I have to start again?

Nah, completely different platforms which you can't combine.

    Thanks Langers

I just thought that because my login was the same on the Rockstar Social Club they might of done something clever!

AC Odyssey sounds right up my street - just got to finish The Witcher and Red Dead 2.......

Oh yeah you'd love Odyssey. It combines the very best aspects of the AC series with some superb features from games such as Witcher 3, Zelda BOTW, Shadow of Mordor etc.

And it's bigger than all of those put together, map wise.

No idea what to start playing. Giving FIFA 20 a miss as I really need to start playing through my Steam library, there’s just too much choice I can never make my mind up.

I started playing Fire Emblem a couple of weeks ago and it's completely taken over my life. I've logged over 80 hours and only just passed the halfway point.

I downloaded a game called Yoku's Island Express which is a 2D platformer - you're a dung beetle pushing a ball around, using pinball mechanics to move around and solve puzzles.

Not a massive game but very clever and plenty of fun.
