Team news

Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen is struggling with a muscle issue and faces a fitness test ahead of Sunday.

Vitor Pereira has reported no further injury concerns and midfielder Tommy Doyle could return after missing the loss at Crystal Palace with a minor knock.

Brentford full-back Aaron Hickey is back in contention after more than a year and a half on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Fellow defender Michael Kayode may miss out after a tight hamstring forced him off during last weekend's defeat to Fulham, while midfielder Vitaly Janelt will return next season after undergoing heel surgery.

Match facts

Head-to-head

  • Brentford won the reverse fixture 5-3 in October and could secure a first league double over Wolves since the 2015-16 Championship season.
  • Both sides have registered three Premier League wins, with two of Brentford's victories coming at Molineux.
Wolverhampton Wanderers

  • Wolves have lost all three of their Premier League games in May. This follows a seven-match unbeaten run across March and April (W6, D1).
  • They have lost their final league match in each of the past seven seasons by an aggregate score of 19-2.
  • No top-flight side has conceded more penalties than Wolves' nine this season.
  • Vitor Pereira has taken 32 points from 21 Premier League games since he took charge in late December. The club were 19th with nine points from their opening 16 matches when the Portuguese head coach arrived.
  • Jorgen Strand Larsen has scored seven top-flight goals since the start of March, more than any other Premier League player in that time.
Brentford

  • Brentford's home defeat to Fulham on Sunday ended a run of four straight Premier League wins.
  • The Bees have won seven of their past nine top-flight away games, drawing one and losing the other.
  • They had failed to win a Premier League away fixture before January, picking up just two points from a possible 27.
  • Thomas Frank's side have been awarded six Premier League penalties this season; only Liverpool (9) and Bournemouth (7) have won more.
  • With Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa both reaching 19 league goals, the Bees are only the second team to have two African players achieve the 15-goal milestone in a Premier League season, emulating Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2021-22.

Hard to see Man Utd beating Villa or Spurs beating Brighton so we should finish at least 15th. Only wins for each of them will do in the race for 14th which is of course The Real Quiz.

Unless we get battered, West Ham will need to win at Ipswich to have any chance of overhauling us. A draw only takes them above us if we lose 4-0 or worse.

Not gonna be at this one ( my lad’s are at Bearded Theory, probably a better option), can’t be arsed to go on my own.
First home Premier League game I’ve missed for ages, we’ll probably score a load.

Three wins in the last 14 doesn't give much optimism for tomorrow, especially off the back of the Palace and Brighton "efforts".

Four wins, how dare you write off beating already relegated Carlisle in League One.

35 years there and not a single goal from Bully, SEB or Raul on the final day. Jo Lescott loved a last day goal clearly.

If we accept that the manager has said Cunha isn't a 9, neither is Mane and JSL is very likely out that means one of Guedes or Hwang is going to play. I'd go the latter, basically because it's been longer since he last annoyed me

There's not really a viable alternative, so without it things would be a bit flat. Let's not have 'that' debate again, it's not happening

When did those in Aston adopt it too? Recall Sheffield Wednesday using it many moons back but is it a recent thing at Vile park?
