Can't see a thread so...

Personally I'd rest/protect Doc, Boly and Jimenez as they are our key players IMO without any real depth at backup.

The rest can play. Jota probably not risked unless he's ok to come off the bench.

Rui

Bennett Coady Saiss

Jonny Donk Neves Vinagre

Traore Cav Costa

I don't particularly like Cav up front tbh but at least he can trap and hold the ball, and lay it off more effectively than Traore.

I think we should go full strength, got a week to recover until the Man City game. If we do go 2nd string, Ruddy deserves a game too.

And without being arrogant, we're now in the bracket of being able to put a very good run cup together to go quite far. My guess is Liverpool will rest a lot of players to focus on the league.

Full strength. It'll still be a tough ask to come away with anything but we have no excuse not to go for it.

Side note to the game - Draw for the 4th Round will be done by Ikeme and Robbie Keane after the game

We have a whole week to prepare for City away but I think Boly, Jimenez and one of Doc/ Jonny will almost certainly be rested.

Ruddy

Dendoncker Coady Hause/Kilman

DocSaiss Neves Vinagre

Traore Bonatini Cav

Absolutely want to see us go for this. I am desperate for a good Cup run

Normally I'd advocate 11 changes for the Cup, but given our league position. I'd go full strength with the exception of Ruddy who deserves some game time and Doherty's head deserves a rest.

Jota back in training and fit to play on Monday

Jota back in training and fit to play on Monday

If Jota is fit then would definitely play him - at the least gets him match time before our next league game (which is a week away anyway).

Given that Liverpool's priority will be to finally win the league again (+ a decent CL tournament) then it will interesting to see what side they put out - agree would put out as strong a team as possible & rest few to give this a real go (Jiminez is one I would rest as he looked as if he was running on empty at the end v Palace)

Switch Traore out for Jota then.

Full strength and then play a weak team away at City. Just for the meltdown of LFC fans.

I'm expecting Ruddy, Vinagre, Dendoncker, Traore and MGW to start, possibly Jota if fit.....Jonny at rwb to give Doc a rest

59 years since our last Fa cup final. I was disappointed we didn't give the League cup a better punt so I hope for close to full strength here bar Ruddy in goal. I would put Jota straight back and have Dendonker and Neves behind Moutinho. Cav , Traore and MGW as subs for Moutinho Raul and Jota second half

Ruddy

Bennett Coady Boly

Doherty dendonker Neves vinagre

Moutinho

Raul. Jota

Ruddy

Bennett Coady Boly

Doherty dendonker Saiss vinagre

MGW

Traore Jota

Possibly Traore Leo Jota

Would like to see Benny Ashley-Seal or Niall Ennis get time

I dont think we'll go for it (as in play our first team)and believe that the Liverpool second string is much stronger now than when we beat them last time.
Klopp used that game to show the board the shallowness of the squad.

From a Liverpool forum Red and White Kop "Good chance to scout Matt Doherty this, hope he plays and shows us what a top class RB is"

Yeah I guess they were always going to test rest front three. Sturbridge, Origi, Lallana and Shaqiri are still good options but not as intimidating.

And if he does play any of them you’d think they will still be feeing the effects of what was a very physical game on a Thursday.

We were tentatively linked with Origi before so would be interesting to see him play a full game.
