General Wolves News

This. Overall the season was poor, but given the situation in December I think most people are probably satisfied with how it ended. Doesn't excuse the first 4 months.
Well of course. But the question doesn’t seem to be ‘are you satisfied with how if finished’ which evidently is a ‘yes’ given we were nailed on for relegation in December. My own view is that if you were satisfied you’d gladly have a repeat next year. Which would of course be crazy. The more you look back at that shambles the more you realise what a first class job Vitor has done. We can only hope against hope he’s supported to go on and not repeat a thoroughly unsatisfactory season.

Thinking we were dead and buried at the end of 2024, "6 in a row" and the recent Vitor feel good factor probably skewed it a bit

It went from rubbish to "meh" - which I suspect is why the vast majority is in the middle.

Don't get me wrong, the run of WWWWWW was great, and things definitely picked up, but we were really lucky that the three relegated teams were rubbish.

We recently had a question "who is your player of the season"

But that was read as "who is your player of the season if you exclude players who use social media a bit oddly, have questionable behaviour over a contract and a dislike of glasses"

Football fans in general will respond to the now situation.

Are you suggesting that in general people don't partake in critical thinking!?

But then surely if everyone had to interpret the question in the same way and use the same criteria, everyone would give the same answer and there'd be no point in having a poll?

Kind of where I am coming from.

On the poll posted its very much how did the season go and some have looked at the whole picture and some have gone with "well shit until December and then it was OK, therefore I am satisfied"

I am satisfied in that we didn't get relegated when it seemed odds on in December and we also ended up with what appears to be a competent manager/coach.

Fine. So ask people if they’re happy with the second half of the season. I was. People are indeed free to interpret questions how they like, it’s one of the reasons you get better or worse answers. I’m all for a bit of pre-modernism.

To misquote Sven....

First half not so good, second half good.

The position of sporting director will be reshaped into a head of recruitment role as the club looks to give Pereira the players he needs to move forward

GO fuming at this.....giving a manager players he needs, the bastards
