Normally number of corners or throws or something silly like that. So nothing obvious like a “went knee high and got himself sent off”

Doesn't appear to be much wrong there either. I'd be questioning the forwards with the chances they missed
You’re not going to be able to tell With stats. There’s going to be an anomaly with betting patterns which meant something like there was “x number of corners in the first 15 mins” which a lot of money was won from and in the match that might coincide with a dodgy back pass or a player heading it behind under minimal pressure.
Whether the betting pattern is a natural anomaly and/or the event in the game is pure chance is what the authorities will try and work out.
Not normally smoke without fire in these cases but whether anything can be proven is a different matter.
But Rio Ave only conceded 2 corners all game so that's out of the running. I can't find stats for throw-ins
“He already defends well on the pitch, and will also defend himself from the accusations.”
Every game under Dean Saunders was fixed then..
A big thing a few years ago was a throw-in in the first minute. I lost count of the times I saw the ball played back from kick off then hoofed to the wing but 'over' hit during televised games once this was pointed out to me.

Cardiff did that last night.
Hmm. It would appear that Miranda was suspended for the game in question, and one of the other three named was on loan at another club. Sounds like a load of bollocks.
Ha ha... I didn't even look at the line up...
