And (if we qualify in 7th with City winning the cup) only 5 days to get back and prepare for a Europa League tie. Best win the cup then.

No different to coming back to play a pre-season in this Country. Easy.

Some of our fans need to get used to this kind of pre-season travel if we truly going to achieve what Fosun want. Seen comments that travelling to China will exhaust our players and impact on the season (something we can blame when the worst team in the league does the double over us I suppose). I mean lets forget that the likes of Liverpool spend their pre-season playing games in all corners of the USA and a couple of games in Europe and they seem to be ok

Yep. This will be the case every summer now. Seeing how Nuno and his team have handled the players fitness over the past two seasons as long as we have him in charge I feel fairly confident on that area!

Our lads are going to be knackered (if we qualify for the Europa). Bigger squad required (if we qualify for the Europa).

Welcome to the big time.

Yeah let's get there first!

Got to make sure the cup game doesn't derail our league form. It's tight from 7th down to 11th.

We have a game in hand on everyone bar Watford. That distorts it a bit. The game is home to Arsenal and I would back us for at least a point.

If we make it to the final though, it could affect the other games around it.

Liverpool away maybe but I doubt many would be expecting too much from that game.

As much as I dislike liverpool I hope they win the league early, and we face off their reserves for an easy 3pt, would be a massive difference

1) I don’t want them to win the league
2) doubt they will win it early if they did, they will certainly need something from that game
3) doubt they’d play their reserves if they did win the league
4) there would be nothing better than pissing on their bonfire if we get a result and stop them winning the league.

I don't want them winning the league the week before they play us. We'd have to do that "Guard Of Honour" shite, their fans would just be having a huge celebration, and the team would probably take the piss out of us on the pitch.

I want them to have the 2019 version of the Gerrard slip against us. It would be fucking hilarious and if we both made it, the City fans would LOVE us at the final the week after.

This (in spades).

Do we think the part in bold will be an issue for Europa League away games too? I guess it's easily policed and a responsible thing for the club to do what with British football fans' rep across the world not being the best
