The Race to be Relegated with Wolves, 24/25 Thread

It has been discussed, in this instance and previously. There's not a lot we can do tbh other than extreme cases.

I was foolishly and naively asking for the thread to get back on topic after everyone had been to bed. In future I'll just lock the thread for a while. But you'll just moan about that too as you do everything else.
I am taking the piss (mainly) using the line from the keir starmer thread!

It's strange, I remember being told I was thin skinned and overly sensitive for getting irritated by the laughing emoji thing.

I'm not sure that's entirely true, as we shared via PM, I think you looked for the bite - you dont now imo, as much as you got it. Johnny would normally tell people (in his own style) why he disagreed with you before throwing the laughing emoji. Too many have said they felt that was bullying or intimidating for me to say it wasn't. Mark however doesn't give you that courtesy.

I didn't use it in an insulting way, I actually used it to explain why I think Mark behaves the way he does. The way he has responded subsequently shows that he can't comprehend the way his actions are perceived by others which only reinforces what I believe to be true, although not what I know to be.
He's a dick always has been why engage do what I do Ignore him......

I haven't changed how I post at all - i dont look for a bite. I just haven't got that constant niggling reaction to most (all) of my posts going on anymore.

You don't get reaction notifications from people you've got on ignore so the only way you'd see them is if you were going back to your old posts to see what sort of reaction they're getting. Some may consider that to be a little self indulgent, vain even.
To be fair I did that the other day as I felt my football manager story deserved a few ‘laughies’. Ruined my weekend seeing I only had 2. I appreciate you @Deutsch Wolf and @Kenny.

Oh shit. Just caught up on this thread. Apologies for posting something about David Moyes without giving it much thought and then it all kicking off, off the back of it 😬

Leicester will not face any charges for breaching PSR rules

I think the 3 xmas results have just kept us in the fight nothing more, absolutely cannot go with the August-November attitude of “we’ll be beat the shit teams”
If we’re to survive I think we need a few points from Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa, Liverpool and Bournemouth. You absolutely can’t come out the other side of those fixtures with next to nothing for starters it would be 8 games without a win. Runs of losing 5-6 on the spin more than once in a PL season usually mean you’ll go down.

It's all relative, it's only a problem if Ipswich get more points over the same period.

I'm not saying we should be relying on our opponents to drop points, but in reality that's where we are.

It is, but during that period they have home games against Brighton, Southampton and Spurs so you'd expect them to get at least 4

If the gap exceeds 5 points I think we’re done for especially if you enter March with not long left.
The psychological factor kicks in to.
Point being you’ve got to get points when it’s not expected.

leicester had a 2 game bounce under rvn, and have lost every game since then.
we had a 3 game bounce. we need to address our form so we don't go similar to them tbh.
@slink made an excellent post on the verdict thread I think. Whilst clearly newcastle were the better team last night, JSL should have scored 2 or more, cunha came close, as did gomes, plus guedes had a couple of weak shots, as did sarabia. There is a positive in that we are at least creating chances, and we have scored goals all season. We could have got a bit of luck but didn't. Hopefully, in a couple of other games, we will.
We need however to shore up our defence. We continue to be in the position of having to score 2/3/4 goals to win games, as we know we will concede at least 1. Although we were under the cosh at times, until the 1st goal went in, we were coping ok. If we could have made it to HT....

Southampton 1/100
Leicester 1/6
Ipswich 10/11
Wolves 7/4
Everton 5/2

With not pulling the trigger on the twat months ago it was always gonna be about 17th.
Southampton have probably gone, so it’s Ipswich, Leicester or us.
Everton, ‘always find a way’.
