Big game! Spurs have found a bit of form since Jose came in but they still look very rickety at the back and Gazzaniga isn't a good keeper.

Usual first choice XI I guess, this could be a game where we miss Boly - not sure any of the current back three are that well equipped to deal with Kane and Son.

2018/19: L 2-3 (H), W 3-1 (A)
2011/12: L 0-2 (H), D 1-1 (A)
2010/11: D 3-3 (H), L 1-3 (A)
2009/10: W 1-0 (H), W 1-0 (A)
2003/4: L 0-2 (H), L 2-5 (A)
1995/6: D 1-1 (A, FAC), L 0-2 (H, FAC)

I don't think Nuno will, but I'd play Bennett over Donck. This is one of those games where the centre forward will try to isolate Coady and he'll need his minders. His left side one won't be there so we'll need his right one. Saiss' lack of pace worries me, I think Jonny will have to play deeper than normal to compensate that which could make us a bit one dimensional in terms of attacking stuff going down our right

I am really looking forward to this. Amazingly, Mourinhos first ever match at Molineux.

I wondered on Thursday if the starting formation was a precursor to Sundays game.....hopefully not

No chance. I was amazed he played it at Newcastle but the penny has finally dropped.

We played 3-5-2 Thursday as we simply don’t have enough forwards. I did notice with the 3-5-2 that neves was willing to interchange with Donk rather than being glued to DM.

3-5-2 means he can’t play both the guy who got a hattrick and our most potent threat together against a porous spurs. I assume given Vertonghen didn’t play in the week he will play LB, if it’s Rose even better. Will Jose go to 5 at the back? Doubt it as it means he will have to leave 2 of Alli, Eriksen and Moura out.

Struggling to get down for this, I'm hoping I can get everything I need to get done by 12 but not hopeful. Such a fairweather attendee recently

I agree with DW that were gonna miss Boly, hes better in the air and stronger than any of our back three, faster than saiss and coady too. Son is in superb form too. They are shit at the back, I'm predicting a 2-2 draw.

I’m a little worried about the long ball from Alderweireld behind our defence. Spurs have had real joy from it under Mourinho and it is something we can get caught out with - especially when Coady gets isolated. Nuno was not happy about the Brighton goal - lack of pressure on the passer and the high line - you can’t do both

They can trouble us but equally so their full backs are there for the taking with our wide players and wingbacks.

Have to respect what and who Spurs bring to the party but think we've got plenty. I think a rested Raul, Doc and Jonny is going to be critical.

Davies is injured for them I think? If it’s rose who plays Adama is going to have a field day.

It’ll be Vertonghen at left back, since Mourinho took over the left back has been staying back and almost forming a back three while Aurier bombs forward.

This should be a good game

Their front line will give us problems, but if we play Traore, Jiminez & Jota (who has now re discovered his mojo) then ours will equally cause them problems.

Defensively we need a bit of 'street smart & cynicism' from Bennett, Coady & would play Kilman on the left. He has looked steady, needs to be tested against a better front line & is probably less likely to make a rash challenge than Saiss.

Usual midfield (Doherty & Jonny with 2 of Neves/Moutinho/Dendoncker with whoever sits out initially on the bench to come on later to either shore up the midfield if needed or to provide fresh legs for the 2 there)

I'm hoping for the first game this season where both Jota and Traore cause them problems all game either side of Raul. So far it's been one or the other. It'd be nice to see all our front three click together and cause loads of problems.

Both games live here in the States, our game is on one of the more obscure NBC channels .

As to the game. We more than match them all over the pitch in many positions but I think wilth Boly missing Kane will do for us. Hope I'm wrong, just got a feeling. Going to be a great game though.
