We’re bottom of the table on 0 points after 4 games and had a rancid finish to last season. Let’s give the man a new contract.

Jeff Shi somehow manages to keep finding new ways to surprise me.
 
Strange, if true. You don't give improved terms to someone who has just got you your worst ever start to a season. Do you!?
 
Nothing would surprise me with this club seems a perfect time to hold off negotiations and see how the next month pans out.
 
I don't think VP is close to our worst problem but extending any manager after 7/8 months is just so fucking stupid (unless they won literally every single match during that time).

In this case it would make sense if we were doing alright as we only gave him an 18 month deal to start with. He's halfway through his contract already.

We are not doing alright.
 
Almost seems like them admitting they've screwed up the recruitment and acknowledged they've made his job (much) harder than it needs to have been. Fosun!

He has been backed in the window though, and no manager resigns anymore, I just don't see this as likely personally.
 
Can`t see him threatening to walk. Was his dream to manage in the Premiership, wasn`t it?
