Which of us has the Best/Worst MP?

Why are they all so obsessed with cutting taxes? I know ‘tax and spend’ is currently seen as a negative thing but the country is falling apart. Surely we have to have a government that starts spending money on fixing it at some point?
True. So probably best not to vote for the ones with blue rosettes

So Tory pre election 101 as explained above is to find some tax to cut in the 12 months before an election as a trap for Labour.

As soon as Labour say they will reverse the cut, “profligate, can’t be trusted with the national finances, hurting you to give it to scroungers and pay rises they promised to their union masters”

She's not stopping there...

In response Dame Andrea Jenkyns, the rightwinger who is calling for a vote of no confidence in Rishi Sunak, has given an interview to GB News in which she says people like Green should “sod off to the Lib Dems”. She said:

This One Nation Group make up the majority of the parliamentary party but these are the ones who didn’t want Brexit, who didn’t want Boris, who didn’t want Liz Truss, so they’re not really in tune with the British public. Isn’t Damian Green the one who got deselected by his own association back in February?
I don’t think the Tory party are going far enough [to the right] actually …
I want to stop net zero, I want strong borders, I want strong policing like the 80s where they used to drag protesters off the streets.

It still makes my blood boil that she has ended up with a damehood for essentially backing Johnson to the bitter end. Can't even write a letter (and she pays people to work for her who could have proof read it or written it for her), willing to give the finger to members of the public and now thinks that a modern day Gene Hunt should be in charge of the police force.

If she died the world would be a better place.

This is the woman who accidentaly joined the Moonies...

It’s the last yaps before she is permanently confined to the sidelines along with the rest of the Boris lovers after the next election.

Empty vessels make a lot of a noise and she makes the central Sahara look crowded.

Somerset Capital Management, the boutique fund manager co-founded by Tory MP Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg, is to wind down after large client redemptions made it unsustainable for the business to continue.

The move marks a dramatic reversal in fortunes for Somerset, a specialist in emerging markets investing, which at its peak in 2018 had $10bn in assets under management. As recently as four years ago it rejected a bid of up to £90mn from London-based rival Artemis Investment.

Unless any forum member lives in Stoke On Trent North then I think you probably win.

My Tory MP is actually pretty good (Aaron Bell).

It's a real dilemma as the Labour candidate is an insipid bellend.

Just checked Jane Stevenson’s voting record for the first time out of interest. Dear me.

Andrew Bridgen has received Loans of £4.4m from the Reclaim party founder Jeremy Hosking and failed to declare it when he surprisingly joined a party whose founder had given him such a huge sum.

Hopefully he's guilty of Parliamentary rules and he'll get a ban of more than 10 days leading to a recall petition.

Everytime I see this thread I think "Deutsch Wolf" obviously has the worst MP. There have been so many contenders but it is still Gavin Williamson.
