Wolves 3-1 Burton - Verdict Thread

We should get rid of the man on the hoss and erect a statue of Ruben Neves instead

Chuffed we seem to be back near to our pre Christmas form, albeit against some of the poorer teams.....watcha got Villa/Cardiff/Fulham?

Lots of positives today, and only one negative.

Neves was superb, as was Costa, Cav & Afobe. Yes Burton are poor, but some of the passing and movement from our front three & Neves/Saiss was a joy to watch. We needed to bounce back after the Villa defeat, and that's exactly what we've done. Now we can sit back, relax and the pressure is back on Cardiff & Villa.

The only negative for me is Ruddy. Someone with the work load he has should not concede as many goals as he does, or make as many mistakes as he does. I commented on it a few times in the matchday thread so won't go on too much, but Will Norris has to come in for the remainder of the season for me (he won't, but he should).

They drew 2-2 with QPR earlier so dropped 2 points on us today.

Good to see Costa getting back to his best again, it seems like his confidence is returning.

Completely dominated the game, Neves was special and Saiss was metronomic. Afobe took both of his goals excellently. The through ball from Neves was outstanding and with Afobe in the side it gives us another way to attack.

The back 3 dealt easily with everything Burton had

Ruddy should have brought his deck chair.

Now to see how Villa and Cardiff do

Watched a stream, have to say it was a comfortable win absolutely delighted.

Special shout outa to Cav, Costa, Coady, and Afobe.
Motm for me is Neves
Think your being harsh on Ruddy, the ball came through a forest of players he would have seen it late, then it took a deflection about the time he got his first look at it. I have blamed him for some goals this season but not this one

Front 3 looked full of goals midfield dominant only negative was the Ruddy cock up.

MOTM Neves again, there was a throughball towards the end which was obscene, filthy, disgusting and just plain wrong.

Did you get the Russian one? Cracking HD. Agree re the goal. Nine times out of ten that wouldn't have got anywhere near without hitting someone and Ruddy must have been unsighted until it was under his nose.

Lovely toe-poke from Cav off-balance to set up Afobe. Could maybe have had a couple more with a bit more sharpness up front, but I'm not complaining. We were as good as we needed to be to win at a canter. Very nice job.

Not blaming Ruddy for the goal. It went through three sets of legs before it came through him. Truthfully Burton were better than Reading so I wish them well. We have some real filth when we need it. Good three points 13 clear at the moment come on notlob! Never thought I would say that

Yeah Bolton win and that's it as far as I'm concerned. Let's hope Villa choke so we can enjoy the meltdown haha.

That's the one, have to pinch myself sometimes that he plays for Wolves lol.

In the second tier! He could happily get a game with some seriously good premier teams! Glad he is here.

agree with pretty much all of that..a lot of positives, wolves is the way to go! :)

Merson really praising us on SSN. Says we will go up and stay up and that Neves is a proper player

Neves and Boly, lost for words...nice to see Costa back at about 88% too..ooh and Afobe offers a different thing but love Leo too

Easy. Promoted now. Nobody catching us.
