Don't think its dismissive, I like Dawson, he's done a good job, but if he's leading our defence (with the same personnel) next season, it concerns me.
That's the problem, he's the best we've got in the squad, he's a 34 year old journeyman (maybe a bit harsh) and we're relying on him to help us be a bit less shit at the back. We were poor with him guiding the defence and terrible since he got injured.
But that's only part of it, despite the injuries and lack of back up we still scored goals (albeit a lower rate)since 30th March but defensively we've been poor all season, Dawson helped paper over the cracks but even then we weren't that solid. Surely we have to improve over the season...
That was pretty much the route I was thinking. Some grim bits through Wellington but I suppose that can't be helped.
Goes past my daughters front door in Lilleshall (try to avoid shool drop off/pick up times there).
Was thinking about the Green Dragon for your overnight. My lad and his mate...
Those lanes vary, nice enough to cycle on but can be more busy at times than I would prefer to cycle on but you're a lot more experienced cyclist than me.
If you like, map out a route and I'll have a look at the road parts, I often take my motor bike just for a trundle round those areas just for...
I'm guessing you know the walking/cycle path from Safford to Newport along the old railway line? I do the Newport-Shrewsbury route a lot and can't think of any cycle paths, you could probably plot a route along the little lanes.
I think this is fair, it remains to be seen whether Gary can see the problems and work out a solution, either with different personnel and or different tactics.
Like you I'm not completely convinced by him but still think it would be harsh to get rid now, given the hand he was dealt from the start of the season to the January window.
Yeah it's a concern. After the first 6 games I thought he was way out of his depth, of course he turned it round and for a while we were genuinely good, some great results and good to watch. However the last few months have been appalling, some of that is down to injuries/burnout of course but...
I really wanted to like the Ireland entry, the theatre of the performance was great but the song itself lacked any cohesion for me, just a jumble of individual bits.
Estonia, so far for me.
I worked in Wellington about 8 years ago for a couple of years, there were 8-10 Telford fans there that went every home game, I also knew loads of Telford fans when I lived there. Maybe the support has fallen away since?
