Israel-Palestine

Google it if you really want to see them, please. We don’t need to proliferate that stuff here.

The unverified claim leads the Times, Telegraph, Mail, Express, Indpendent, Sun and Metro.

Even if it turns out to be true it makes no difference. This is not journalism.

If it is reporting a fact I would say it actually is.

Just read the Independent story. “Babies beheaded” is in quote marks and it is attributed to an Israeli army officer. They state clearly on two occasions in the piece that they are unable to verify his quotation. There is testimony from a survivor who personally witnessed indiscriminate shooting of civilians. Further there do seem to be plenty of bodies.

To lead with an unconfirmed report is very worrying indeed. That's not journalism, it's propaganda.

What a bizarre hill to die on. Is Saint Jeremy going to be approached for comment?

Being unable to distinguish the population of the oppressed country you support from the terrorist organisation doing this or indeed the victims of atrocities from the Israeli government actions is definitely an odd hill yes.
