Non League Football.

If you say "Newcastle" then pretty much everyone will assume you mean the one in the North East. Not the one in Staffordshire or the one in Shropshire or the one in Australia.
Although, the Australian Newcastle (Jets) has a proffesional team.

Complicated at the top of the Southern Central Division. On Easter Monday Tamworth were six points behind Coalville but went above them on Saturday on goal difference after two wins and Coalville lost twice. Coalville won tonight whereas Tamworth have to replay the abandoned fixture against 4th placed Nuneaton on Thursday behind closed doors. A bit of a pisser as Tamworth were 2-0 up after an hour followed by their fans bombarding the pitch with flares and hurling other missiles into home sections. The reaction of the home crowd exacerbated the problems and the game was abandoned.
Tamworth will go back on top with a 2-0 win but regardless it will go to the last game of the season on Saturday. Tamworth away to Redditch, whereas Coalville are at home to the non league side of @Langers Stourbridge.

Justice is served. Tamworth 3-0 Nuneaton

Got to feel sorry for Coalville. Lost out on promotion on goal difference to Tamworth and now have gone out of the play offs on penalties. Looks like Rushall v Nuneaton in the play off final as the other game has Leiston losing to Nuneaton in extra time.

National League North 4-13th positions finished within 4 points of each other today. Chorley were winning 3-2 against Gloucester until the 87th minute and would've finished the league 4th...expect Gloucester scored twice and they ended up 12th instead. For Gloucester it meant they made the play offs in 7th as well. Insane

It needs to go to minimum three up three down as the Conference is essentially fully pro now, it will happen eventually (it's not a case of L2 clubs blocking it, it's an EFL vote across all 72 clubs and consensus is that it'll pass, everything has been held up due to the TV deal which has since been signed this week) but that's going to be no consolation.

It would appear this bye format in the play offs isn’t that much of an advantage?

Got to be a massive downer when you get 107 points and don't go straight up.

I think the format is decent tbf.
Just Wrexham lost last year in similar circumstances (sweet sample size I know). Why not 2 legs like every other league?

Time I guess. You can't have everything stretching way into June, it would screw your transfer business.

But time only an issue because it’s a 6 team competition.

Obviously we know they just need to make it 2 automatic and the issue goes away. But a team in 7th can theoretically go up ahead of the team 2nd 35 points ahead because they win a one off game which isn’t even the final?

Ah... be a shame if they miss out. My eldest lad kind of half-follows them as a local second club (and cos tickets are really cheap in the National League...).

Went with him to their game v Woking the other week, the football on show was actually half-decent for non-league
