Best Uncapped England Team

Billy Bonds is an excellent shout. I also don’t think Alan Devonshire was capped.

Bryan Pop Robson? Just caught the fag end of his career when he was still scoring.

Just going back into earlier times with Wolves then Derek Parkin & Kenny Hibbitt (both got U23 caps, but not full ones) - was during a time that there was severe competition though.

(was going to add Mike Bailey, but on checking find that he did get 2 in 1964 - didn't remember that)

Froggy got into a squad before Summerbee did him so him at left back. I'd have the Everton version of Mountfield at centre half

Your knowledge is considerably better than mine, but surely you can't get away with Matteo! Unless there's another one with the same name?

English and never played for England :)

Was really good for Leeds.

Born in Dumfries with a father of Italian heritage. I'm not doubting his ability just his eligibility ;) I think the six Scotland caps should be the finish of it though.

Opportunities for naming for an XI that played for a country other than their birth/parentage etc. Butcher, Hargreaves, Costa, Higuan, Haaland etc.

I think he actually got in a full squad, but just never played. Definitely played for England U21s.

If I can't have him then I'll have John Beresford.

Good idea that, there's loads to pick from.

I remember him being touted for a squad and probably getting picked in one as well. Quite a bit before he got his Scotland caps. Suffered a bit in being a real utility player while at Liverpool and never really made one position his own.

Van Den Hauwe definitely fits in there!

He also had part of his foot eaten by a rat. While on holiday with his daughter in the Kruger National Park, in South Africa, Mabbutt, who has little feeling in his feet, awoke to find a rat had eaten part of his foot and had bitten one toe to the bone. He was forced to fly back to the UK for surgery and spent a week in hospital.

Weird.
diabetes has particularly adverse implications for a persons feet, especially in relation to blood circulation, and also feeling/sensation. Diabetics have regular check ups on theor feet owing to this.

When my dad had his heart attack, and went into a coma, he didn't feel it, as the nerves around his heart are fucked.

Can we have Erling Braut Haland?

Born in Leeds, never getting any England caps.
